RoCo starts his article with:

What impact did Robbie Gray's subbing out of the game with concussion at half-time have on the result, the Port star having helped drag his team back into the contest before he was controversially slung to the ground by Bryce Gibbs?

Why did Jarman Impey kick to Travis Boak instead of having a crack at goal to give Port the lead with under four minutes left? Why did the umpire call for a ball-up instead of just calling play-on after Brad Ebert's pass to Sam Colquhoun was ruled touched near goal?

Was Boak stiff to be pinged for a throw in the dying seconds? How about a free kick count of 24-10? And so on.

I suggest he seems bitter at the result and he's gone off on Twitter

Don't be too hard on Rohan Connolly and you really have to cut him some slack as he hasn't worked as a journalist for the past 3 years.

Cripps won the NRS today (providing Carrots doesn't take too many votes from him).

Outstanding game and I'd take him over Jesse Hogan any day. Future club captain and AA midfielder IMO.

That article is so typical of Rohan. Everytime he tried to complement Carlton, he found an excuse on why Port lost the game. Funny stuff but what do you expect from a Bomber fan you grew up loathing Carlton.

It was a fantastic win! Too many positives to mention, but as someone said in the game thread, Cripps reaching God status.

Like a young Goku

I'd tipped port by 60+, thinking we would blindly bomb it forward only to wath them continually stream forward.

But the past 2 weeks the blind bombing has stopped, which is great, as I'd like to keep some of my hair.

Gibbs did it a couple of times resulting in 2 port goals, but im over him - his effort is continually embarrassing.

They really put in today and for the second week in a row we can be proud navy blue supporters. Where has the effort been all year? Must have been some serious internal turmoil.

Great effort from our limited talent

I don't have Twitter so can't reply to Rohan, but he's report was more about how Port lost rather than Carlton won. And it's always the case when he writes about our wins (admittedly that isn't often).

When we lose though - ohhhhh then it's ALLLLLLLLLL about us.

Rohan Connolly is a knob of the highest order. Him and Jabba the hut (Robbo) are crap journos.

Journalists are people who matter, and who write and inform us on things that matter.

Sports writers are not 'journos' let's not confuse the two.

Its like me calling myself a golfer. Sure, I walk around the course and hit the ball into the hole with sticks, but when I'm out there im not playing golf

Fair enough. I agree with that.

But we can agree that RC is a knob though??? No argument there?

I don't think there's an argument. He's a knobhead by unanimous decision.

Wonder if the fact Barker played for Hawthorn is impacting on our play style?

First game in a long time when we've hurt people. Miles off a finals worthy performance but it was played in a finals spirit. Tackles stuck. Bodies were driven into the ground. Port will have some bruises.

And Gibbs... Cassissi is right. But I'm glad he went through with it (even though Gray was my SC captain).

We have a player who follows through with a tackle and it will be news til Tuesday. Sam Mitchell's 79th career dog act will be given 2nd billing.

Anyway. Good to see us hurt a team

Connolly getting into slanging matches with his readers is so undignified. Big loss of respect from me. Not sure if it's a ploy to get more traffic to his articles? Have to agree on the knob diagnosis.

Seriously?

I haven't read the replies, but surely plenty have picked him up on this one.

Was the perfect tackle by Menzel. Pinged one arm. 100% a throw.

Such a dumb statement from Rohan. What is he trying to imply? That Boak disguised his throw well enough? That we should let people getting away with throwing it?

A throw is a throw. It doesn't matter what the circumstances are. You simply are not allowed to throw the ball.

The man is an idiot. Pains me that he's probably paid well to dribble shit from his mouth.
