What offers will we get for Curnow? Does he want to stay? How is his contract negotiations going? What ifs etc.

From Trigg's email
Quote:
Maximising, within the parameters of each draft's depth, the number of early picks we have - Creating TPP space that allows us to very selectively target free agents (or trades) who can boost our progress and/or our depth of leadership. If the right ones don’t emerge, we'll bank any applicable TPP space to invest strongly and aggressively in 2-3 years time

We will get NO offers for Curnow what so ever, zero trade value.

GWS national recruiter manager will join the club at the end of this season. Not sure if it's before or after trade and draft period ends though

We shouldn't be trading out best 22 players unless we get an unbelievable deal. Curnow plays his guts out every week and has been amongst our best on a number of occasions. On top of the list will be players that have been on our list for a while that can't cement their place in the side. Warnock, Watson and Ellard head the list for that very reason. Add to that Judd and Carrazzo. Will Giles and Holman stay? What have they shown? Then there might be someone like Henderson that just wants to go and we are forced to get the best we can. That will probably be enough. There are others on the list that I would prefer not to be there like Thomas and Jones, but with contracts in place I think we would be reluctant to pay them out. Hopefully we can pick up a bit of class in the draft in return.

Out of contract. Maybe worth 200 a year to a club contending. Probably not us.

Carlton have revealed they wish to retain a strong core of senior players in rebuilding the playing list, and they will avoid the more ruthless culling of experienced players undertaken by other bottom teams.

In outlining key points in their rebuilding strategy devised by list manager and club great Stephen Silvagni, the Blues revealed they have a full salary cap despite sitting on the bottom. While they wanted as much elite young talent as possible, they did not intend to sacrifice too much "seniority" and risk becoming "excessively vulnerable" during their challenging period ahead.

^^ that article along with the quote above from Trigg's email indicate to me that the club see this as a weak draft and not a draft that is worth losing significant players in order to be a bigger part of. What is interesting is the term 'seniority', which also indicates that perhaps leaders like Murphy, Gibbs, Jamison and maybe even Henderson are valued, whilst perhaps a player like Yarran isn't.

Henderson isn't being valued - hence him being pushed out by offering a poor deal and giving him no choice but to leave.

The reference to Carrazzo in the article is a little concerning - surely he's done

Whats the deal????
IMO he is worth $450 max.
If he wants more good luck and goodbye

Yet Daisy and Warnock are both on more than him.

I can understand why he'd be wanting a pay rise. But i don't think we're in a position to offer it.

Seriously what? Do you want to keep him? I know nothing about him apart from the fact that he is always injured. My question is will he be retained? What is your opinion? Seriously?
