Carlton president Mark LoGiudice said he would "not lose a minute's sleep" over the potential damage Mick Malthouse's next media interview could inflict upon the club, but he hoped the Blues and the former coach remained respectful to each other.

As the dust settled on the sacked Malthouse's dramatic departure on Tuesday, LoGiudice defended his board and said he held no regrets about his handling of the coach's final months at the club.

I don't care if you say stuff about us- no water of my back Mick.
But I really really hope you don't tell them stuff....

I notice that people here are mentioning starting up an FB page relating to the board, more precisely toppling the cronies. If you aren't aware there is one FB page called Carlton FC Reform. I really don't know how effective it is, but I guess the more likes and shares the more awareness of its existence.

I just want to say that inadvertently or otherwise, this forum does a good job of setting the narrative for certain footy writers short on originality and investigative skills.

ps. I can see you are all passionate (as am I) but like the board, nothing will happen as far as your wish for a spill goes, if there isn't unity. It can happen but there must be strong terms that you folk can agree on. Instead of slanging shit at each other.

Great first post! Welcome to the cauldron SJ.

So what is a practical strategy to build momentum and have a unified voice of members (and ex-members like myself and many others)? Relentless sniping may be cathartic (from the Greek for purification I believe Synbad), but this will get us no closer to our wish. I believe people need to take to social media in a united way. It's a practical and easy way for momentum to build. Trawling journos won't be able to resist and soon it'll be in the greater public consciousness, one step closer to necessary change. We Australians have never been good at motivating ourselves for a good uprising, however numbers will talk and I believe this is the way to go.

ps. I am not affiliated with the FB page I posted previously. It just the only page of that type I am aware of.

Only if I'm trolling.

I know your friends were scared to challenge Sticks. He's not there anymore, and they'll win in a canter in they challenge. I don't know who they are, but I'll buy a membership so I can vote the existing board out.

grrofunger will join them.

Welcome Syd.

I read that article today. Russell's a good writer, and did as good a job as any as summing up the current situation. His cricket pieces are a must read during Summer.

Had to laugh as DocSherrin got into a Twitter battle with him after the article. Gave him the "good article, but you should stick to cricket" treatment.

My whole family & I have memberships and would all be on board. A number of my friends the same.

There is a lot of support out there to turf the board - it's just is normal folk don't know how to go about it.
It's all well & good to go out & get a list of 100 signatures, membership details etc - but without the ticket to back it up we're all a bit hopeless.

If you do have a connection to someone who can genuinely get this going with proper momentum I would love to be on board. And I know a lot of other people who would too.

If the board agree to stand down I would buy a membership and I'm sure I'm not alone.

Because he's seen first hand what a petulant, cantankerous, cancerous cretin he is.

He'll just wait for the media to go to town on poor old Mick because Mick takes no accountability for anything - media know it, they're just waiting for the opportunity.
