I would swap Everitt & Menzel around, and I'd keep Armfield in ahead of Boekhorst, but otherwise that looks like the best we could do this week.

Discussion points at the selection table would include-
* Do we play Walker or bring him back via the VFL? He could be a chance to play as Sub (and drop Tutt)? Or perhaps bring Walker into the 21 and play Thomas or White as Sub? I don't mind the idea of him finding some match touch/fitness in the VFL.
* Does Carrazzo come in? I would be happy for him to play in the VFL, but understand the temptation to bring in another experienced body against the Swans, especially with Judd & Gibbs out.
* Boekhorst vs Armfield. Not sure Boekhorst will appreciate the small SCG, so I'd stick with Armfield and see how he goes post-Mick. He played his role last week anyway. Boekhorst's time will come.
* Back or forward for Hendo? We may be forced to play him back this week. Alternative is to roll the dice on Rowe, Jaksch & White getting it done between them and load up forward line with Hendo, Jones & Casboult. I'm tending towards that more attacking option.

At least there's a bit of interest in the game now.

Oh poor grasshopper, you have much to learn.

It will be all about how big bad only Carlton cheats made life terribly difficult for Mick ... how we constantly put roadblocks in place to deny his coaching genius.

His wife shed tears because we didn't extend his contact you know. Tears! His wife!!!

I'm tipping the Gibbs injury is much worse than they are saying. The club can't have another bad news story this week. The ol' Macca line "he'll miss this week and then we'll assess from there" is a classic set up for "he is out for the year" announcement next week....

I'm similar with Hendo as swing man.
I'd even through Jones CHB for 10 mins every now and then.
Armfield for Tutt too. Armfield is playing well Imo.
Boekhurst as sub.

Our club is under siege.
The players are embarrassed being enbrassing.

Thomas hurting.
Murphy pleading tackles for himself and to all players.
Hendo and Walker back.

I wonder who Barker values and promotes.
Graham? DVJ? Jaksch? A surprise?
Swans too physical for kids...maybe not this week for surprises.

Graham & Holman might be ready for the Swans.

Keep DVR away for the moment. Wait until GC game.

I expect we will see a steady trialling of several fringe players for the remainder of the season. But I would be inclined not too make too many changes this week.

We've had a lot of changes in recent weeks. I'd like to see the majority from last week play again and see if there is any noticeable change from any of them.

If Henderson is right to go, then not much choice but to send him to defence this week. Won't always be the case. Surely we try a smaller more mobile forward line and play Walker as the go-to full forward. Graham in for Warnock as only unforced change. Sub from Tutt, Everitt, Armfield.

I am anticipating that we might see one or two surprising form reversals this week in both the senior and 2's players. Chance for a few seconds players to knock the door down now for the next game against Adelaide or the games after the bye.

Lach on plane to Sydney.

If Mick said he was going to play defence last week if fit, I hope Barker makes sure this happens. Might show SOS just how good Lachie is in defence and he must keep him and not selling him for a shiny pick.

I *may* watch this game just to see if the players have decided to give a shit now they've seen off another coach.

Carlton skipper Marc Murphy a late arrival at Melbourne airport. Andrew Walker (knee) on the plane after being listed as a test.

Good to hear that there are no performance expectations being placed on the players. I suppose it will only be forced changes next week.

Finally. Let's hope he isn't sub and gets the opportunity he deserves.
