Gibbs out is probably a positive.

Gibbs is a witches hat, Juddy is half the player he was, but double that of any other midfielder.

The result of that equation is that we are screwed in more ways than one...... But Gibbs is out- yay

Actually, I think we will see a glimpse into the future. Cripps will enjoy the swans tightness, as will bell. I do hope Graham gets an extended run. He will be no superstar, but may be an accumulator.

I think the players will respond this week.
I'm sure they're sick and tired of feeling sorry for themselves and are dying to play the way they can

I no longer find this funny anymore. It's so beyond a joke now.

Journo's can write 2 reviews now and just go with the relevant theme depending the outcome:

Get close to Sydney - Why could they have done that before? Why did it take the coach to be sakced to show effort. Blood on their hands etc

Get pumped by Sydney - Well that made a lot of difference sakcing the coach. What was the point? Bet Mick is smiling tonight. Rest of the club should have a good look at themselves etc

Shadow of himself as well Jimmy. Kid needs to be given some confidence and be told to take the game on.
Last time I saw him, he looked more scared of making a mistake than Watson.

With that fearful approach gone he will still need bedding down into the game plan and physical development.

He'd be the first fit tall defender called up at the moment after Henderson, but I say that without knowing the status of Jamison.

That is a remarkable statement.

- Do you mean the old game plan or the new one?
- Doesn't EVERYONE need bedding down into the game plan (whatever it is)?

Hopefully at the very least he brings in Watson & Jaksch and gives them an opportunity.

I would like to see someone give Graham a go.

Hopefully him too.

Be interesting to see selection now MM is gone. No more player bias?

Yep. You watch. They'll pick Laidler this week!

Losing a lot of tackles there.

Both, because unless Barker is a complete idiot, he won't be ripping it all to shreds overnight.

Jaksch is horribly out of form; I'd rather keep him in the VFL for another 2 weeks, full of encouragement and see what happens. Maybe he'll have a brilliant performance one week in and it will be impossible to ignore his selection, but right now he's in defence and he has no clear match-up this week with Henderson likely to be back.

So Jones is "in-form"?? Many of us want KJ forward, not back - he may not be Arnie, but the guy is 3 years in the system, I don't think this game will ruin him physically if he plays as a mobile third tall?

Ok, clean slate guys, last clean slate, don't phuk up. Pressure's back on you now the coach is gone. Gibbs and Judd injured of course.

That's not too bad a line-up. Should not be on the bottom.

I didn't put Jones on the team sheet I made either, and I nominated Jaksch or Watson as another tall forward to come in, but I think we should back Everitt, Casboult, Walker and Menzel to be the aerial and lead targets.
