That petition is meaningless. You need members with their membership number.

If it's meaningless, show me another avenue to represent a groundswell of support that signifies the level of disenchantment that's out there. I've had enough of hating footy, wanna see some glimmer of inspired proactive and strategic thinking, that says this club has a reason to be..

How else can members like me do to say this bunch longer represent its constituents ?

Make it so members have to include their membership number, so that there is some credibility to the petition.

The board can say these are Essendon** supporters trying to stir up trouble.
I wouldn't personally publish membership numbers online.
Who knows how they will be used.

A petition at the footy next week will be a lot more effective

Yeah, fair call, but has to be current signed up members a la 2002.

Where's Lebet?!

Judd is too smart to involve himself with this mess. He knows the board is toxic.
I am happy for him to present his case like everyone else. We can vote on it.

I hear Harold Mitchell discussing the Budget. He's very switched on.

If you listen to Tom Elliot, he's a very clear thinker and has good understanding of finance, media and governance. It isn't fair to judge him by his old man.

Mitchell has been mooted a few times before, but hasn't he said GAGF in the past?

Times change, I guess.

Maybe not judge solely on it, but it would be foolish to completely ignore it.

Ahhh yes but he has been handsomely rewarded and he's very good friends with Mark.. And an ally of visy.
Will be town his back on those that fed him in their time of need?
Juddy was involved in pokies but didn't want his name associated with it.
He even eye gouged and chicken winged and got the club to appeal and lose ten grand and more weeks in the process.
They obliged of course...

I'm not so sure!

This is why they're befriended and looked after in the first place.

Let's see what happens..

If you listen to him carefully, you hear someone who looks to promote ideas that generate cases for investment for his own interests. He's also very much a lagging indicator of growing free market-friendly concepts.

He's a hack. Pure and simple.

Do you have an example of this?

Might not be fair but that's the fact. Sins of the father. Don't want him anywhere near the club.

Any 'new' board needs to be clean, and an Elliot at the helm compromises it from the get go.

Do you have an example of this?

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/victor ... 7356896374

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/opinio ... 7347538767

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/opinio ... 7308576496

Give him a platform to talk and he's not at the forefront of anything. He's a follower pretending to be a leader, which is why his highest profile work is in analysis and media.

His father is half the man he used to be, but that man was an innovator and political juggernaut. Tom is none of those things, with arguably the same ego.

But what's Mark good at? His finer points?

That he can take a few licks and work with other egos in the room.

So he's front and square in destroying the club and now wants to absorb the licks and continue his scorched earth policies?
Do you see that as a good thing?

No, but he's willing to throw his support behind a Tom Elliott led board spill.

You'd obviously vote for the new ticket no matter who's on it, just for the fact the current mob are killing the club.

Unless the new ticket involves Andy Maher.
That is the limit.
