No... Malthouse is doing the mixed stuff the club is doing.
The club doesn't want blowouts but wants a rebuild.
The club needs to work out it's direction and where it wants to go.
On one hand it's saying rebuild on another if it does the kids systematically with what's on offer in the reserves this is nothing compared to what's coming up.
The club is skint ... And can't afford to lose even more..

club is 'rebuilding'

(yet we need wins)

see: mixed messages from shit leaders

but his team selection and tactics are not in line with a rebuild

he isn't coaching for the club, he is coaching for himself

synners - play the kids, play an attacking brand of football that supporters want to watch , give them hope, give them enjoyment

yes we may still lose most games, but it will be better to watch, it will be a breath of fresh air and some life will be injected back into the place.

this has more chance of bringing back people to the games and counteracting the financial losses that will continue to worsen as crowds continue to drop off as the current nonsense continues

Someone else wrote on here that Madhouse may have a "no sacking in season" clause in his contract.

That's why the prez is so adamant.

This is why I want him out.

What's the point of rebuilding if this turgid, frightened, headless chicken rubbish is the blueprint for the rebuild?

Yes put all the blame on malthouse. What coach has a chance when the club talks of a rebuild in round 2?
Mclure should leave his comments behind closed doors. I would support him for a board position but he needs to understand the coach is the least of our issues

Do you have a selective reading disorder or just basic comprehension issues?
There are thousands of posts here directing plenty of venom at the board and administration.

One would've thought Carlton would be the last club to agree to clause like that

Mick Malthouse could be sacked by Carlton this week, says former Blues legend Mark Maclure

http://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/mick-m ... 7357541733

Quote:
CARLTON president Mark LoGiudice is sticking fat by coach Mick Malthouse – again declaring the veteran coach will remain in charge until the end of the season.

well, they made Melbourne get Peter Jackson as a condition,

It is downright hopeless right now though.
A year of this?
huge losses at the gate,
losing kids for good most likely
board tempted to buy in more players or old hack coaches?
that sounds like Misery Lane to me.

Then we have the constant pain of Synners (who I love btw..) inculcating us
(thanks JE..good word!) trying to do God knows what ..start a revolution of TC'ers?
and never using his talent to help bring a spill to the board..
it's tiring and bloody depressing.
donchathink?

I gave up on 2015 at about 3/4 time of the Eagles match. Come to the conclusion that any change that occurs between now and the end of the season isn't worth having.

Think we'll beat Melbourne late in the year, and maybe the Gold Coast if their injuries continue. And we'll still finish last. I can live with that - the hope that keeps me remotely interested in next year are the father son picks, the number one pick, the further clean out of chaff.

Quickly losing hope we'll get the best coach available after a thorough search/process rather than who the person with the biggest cheque book says we'll get. At the very least, maybe some assistant/developments will turn up now that they wont be a witches hat for Mick.

We as supporters do little to improve things when we expect changes but don't tolerate the side effects that follow. Go Geelong next week.

So maybe it's one week rebuild then next week trying to win?

If their doing that I can't tell the difference.

The whole thing is a perfect storm of shit, side has reached the point where a rebuild is obvious, barely and good talent coming through, everyone goes into survival mode on and off the field.

I'd much rather watch a team of kids get belted who at least try and play with some enthusiasm/energy then watch a team of players who look like they hate football get belted.

Any game betwee now and the end of the year is just useless. Actually, even worse - it's visibly doing damage to every player. we are getting worse by the quarter because every game the players lose a little bit more of self confidence and belief in themselves. by the time we get to Rd 23 - I don't even want to know what we will look like by then.

Where are all those posters that stated we had turned the corner in last half of last year.
Saying Judd signed because he could see the difference.
He signed because they opened the cheque book.
Judd has the blood of 4 or 5 players on his hands.
As great of a player that he is part of the demise of this club has been Judds insistence on a change of club culture whilst creaming large chunks of the salary cap.
Between him and Malthouse they have destroyed this club

Yeah, lets blame Judd, the one person who has carried the whole Club on his shoulders since he got here...

so basically we're broke and can't afford to turf malthouse. and while we're playing like hot baked turd, the money issues will only get worse.

if that's the case, what about plan B, where someone within the club forces mick to open up the gameplan and start playing more positive footy with the kids. open up the corridor. play on at all costs. run, carry, play by hand etc etc ...

is that possible?
