sure goes to illustrate how carlton, the board and pres etc spend more time covering their own arse, then attempting to resurrect the football club in any meaningful capacity.

mind blown!

Mentioned this to someone at work literally 15 minutes before you posted it.

We're [REDACTED].

That is amazing.
This is surely a joke.
But the AFL do oversee our club anyway. If he is a total dooshbag, they will step in and boot him.

He was on about a month ago and spoke very well. He is very outgoing
and honest when he's on 5AA. Post match and Mark Stevens are his problems.

MM giving BS excuses why Graham & Buckley are out. Double standards.

Keeps giving Gibbs a wrap. Form is good. Doing well considering missing pre season games. Just sounds like excuses to me. :yikes:

"MM believes the media are picking on him. General public support him.

Affects the family. Would like to be able to respond but why does he have to justify things? Coaching well under circumstances especially regarding injuries. Down on man power and a strange mix of players. Trigg agrees. No date given for new contract, not an issue with him. Doesn't care when told. Has thought about what he will do if not re appointed"

I'm sorry but I have been a MM supporter but it all sounded like BS to me. :?

Whitley has been at the club 5 minutes and gets 2 full games in a row
Graham has played 9 games; 6 as sub, with one qt last week in which he had more impact when the game was on the line than our so called leaders, Murphy and Gibbs

Deep breath & just think in 16 weeks he'll be gone. Could be even sooner if we're lucky.

That would typify our gutlessness and laziness.

Only a coach from the reigning premiers.

We would win today if only Dylan and Graham were playing.

no. but getting games into the buckley over one of curnow/carrots seems like a no brainer.

two older guys who plod and butcher the ball, or a young kid who is speedy, fearless, takes the game on and then butchers the ball.

Agree. This is why I don't get the "we will wait until the end of the year until telling MM his fate" crap. It will make things worse, it will cause conflict and have us in the limelight each week damaging the brand. Also, we are simply wasting time. Why just fumble through the rest of the year? We should be assessing our talent and getting games into kids. Wins (even though we should try each week) is irrelevant given where we sit.

It's just plain stupid.

Totally agree Mark but a lot of the blame needs to fall on the board. They need to be communicating their position and what needs to be done. When the President comes out and says it's about wins what choice does MM have? Why aren't they meeting with MM and saying we want a rebuild and you developing the kids and as such you will be assessed on that not wins. Is it that hard? We really are a rabble.

Micky is and always been a self serving and vindictive individual
He doesn’t care about our future, our brand, the supporters or the players future reassurance.
Micky only considers mickys situation and everybody else is a support act to his comfort and security.

I think an announcement is imminent.

Mick will announce he will retire at the end of the season.

Both he and MLG will save face and Mick gets a long farewell tour.

The President and his men announce a rebuild... round 2 in the final year of a coaching contract... you get nothing but mixed messages and confusion.

You either tell the coach that WINS won't be the deciding factor in a possible re-appointment or you sack him... then you "play the kids", if that is the goal.

Problem is this board want WINS and a rebuild at the same time :screwy: ...bigger problem is the bulk of the supporter base demand this as well.

Mick knows that it's only wins that will save his career... so he picks the best 22 to try and achieve this... if you put you hatred aside for a minute you'd be able to understand, even if you don't agree.

People that want Mick to step down and forgo $$$... would you? we chased him... we threw the cash at him.

Is it self serving? possibly... the same way the board deflects blame... players leave for more cash... or Bryce Gibbs only plays well in contract years etc

Welcome to Carlton 2015... everything about this club is self serving.

wins won't save or prolong his career, doing the right thing will

people aren't blind or stupid if you are making an impact or you are improving the list and the team is progressing this has a profound impact on the supporter base, the members, the players, the coaches status and bargaining position and so on and so on

micky has for two years offered nothing but pain every which way you look at it, from his drafting, developing, selections, plans and structures and those !@#$ sap stories and the embarrassing waffling

it's gone past the point of no return please get rid of him now the damage he is doing to the development of the younger players may be irreversible.
