CARLTON president Mark LoGiudice has reaffirmed his stance that coach Mick Malthouse will see out the season despite the Blues' horror start to the year.

Malthouse's three-year contract expires at the end of 2015, and LoGiudice has previously stated three-time premiership coach will stay in the role for the whole year.

Need to wait until they say he has the full support of the board.
I think the Juice is hoping Mick will walk
He better think again
Either that just not renew his contract

Won't be long until Mick abandons his gameplan and lets the players of the leish.

Because it worked for us so well in the past.

Meanwhile, we'll bleed cash from poor attendance and destroy any hope the supporter base may have been clinging on to.

My 6 year old son is an Eagles supporter now, thanks to the utter shite we have dished up this season. He has the audacity to take the piss out of our ladder position and I have no answers.

Yep, tanking is a grand idea.

Go away.

Didn't say I thought it was a good idea, just said that its clearly happening. Simpson being withdrawn at the last minute with a dubious injury and being replaced by Clem Smith outside of the 22 being another reason why I think its happening.

We've already signaled our intentions to rebuild; tanking is the logical extension of a task that's routinely described as being the toughest in the game.

As such - calls for Mick to change the game plan, or let players off the leash, change our set ups, play this bloke, don't play this are so irrelevant its not funny.

Bring on round 23 already...

Waste of time pinning your hopes on new recruitment.
If Malthouse is out of touch now and is signed on for another fews years how far out of touch will he be then
He is burning the careers of many young footballer is it any wonder so many want out.
Guys like Hendo Walker etc are looking at Waite Betts Jacobs and Laidler and thinking they could be playing finals too.

Or I assume he's gone at the end of the year and see no point removing him any earlier?

It's a contest now.

Mick vs MLG

Who blinks first.....

How long can Mick and his ego stand continual losses

How long can MLG and his ego stand continual losses

Who's to say they're not in agreement?

Mick coaches out the year/retains the dignity of not being sacked and his full salary.
MLG's guidelines about a development first ethos in regards to selection, game plan and a view toward wins and losses are implemented.

The media will not allow that.

a) They give up sooner or later
b) We trot out other stories (Judd's last game, debutants, father/son picks)
c) They focus on another club - Richmond, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Collingwood, Essendon*, etc.

So guys,

How do you think our Coach has gone so far this year?

I was just curious if anyone has formed any opinions yet about his performance.

What do you think his next contract will be?

Personally, I think that Mick should admit he hasn't performed quite as well as he would have hoped.

Maybe he will take a 10% reduction in pay for his new contract.

I'm curious to know what everyone thinks, as I don't think there's been much discussion on this topic yet ......
