Quote:
BRISBANE is shocked at the audacity of Carlton officials who flew to Queensland on Wednesday for secret talks with looming out-of-contract youngster James Aish.
The Blues play Brisbane on Saturday at Etihad Stadium and Lions officials are taken back by the timing of Carlton’s visit.
Blues football boss Andrew McKay, list manager Stephen Silvagni and chief executive Stephen Trigg flew to the Gold Coast where they met 19-year-old Aish.
The hit-and-hope mission had the Blues also meeting former Australian pitcher and Boston Red Sox Pacific Rim staffer John Deeble to assess recruiting technology.

..clubs better get used to it, freo have already started talking to hogan, and he has two years left, i hope he stays..

Brisbane are making a song and dance because they are campaigning to the AFL to get more handouts. I'm sure they have done what carlton did as long as every club.

I think good we need to be doing what we can to get back on track, if that means upsetting other clubs so be it.

Aish would probably demand a first rounder, if we were able to do a 2nd rounder plus a player I would take it.

Aish is handy but I wouldn't be giving up a 1st Round pick for.

The idea of trading Murphy is attractive but I can't see it happening. He wouldn't want to go to Brisbane.

I think if he was traded, he would go to North.

..with the year we'll likely have, we'd be wanting to hold onto our first round, and second round picks.. ..and get more picks inside top twenty..

I am sure Brisbane were talking to Beam's management before end of last season.

Dylan Shiel is Joel Selwood Mark II

The way he moves, his disposal, his size & shape and his free kick count

Yes, Beam's management. I didnt think that clubs were allowed to talk directly to the player.

Aish is a gun. If he is at Carlton next year then I hope his ex coach comes along with him.]

why north?

and if north, could still work

murphy -> north 1st round (currently 10) + young player of interest

north 1st round for aish + brisbane 2nd round (currently 19)

Should have beaten Brisbane obviously but not going to win many games if Hendo (our most important -influential player) yarran jamo Kreuzer Menzel carrazzo and Simpson don't play
Having said that obviously carrazzo jamo and Simpson are nearing or at the end so need replacing

Shows where list is at I know but without much quality we can I'll afford the quality we have out at the moment

Also the only two players that have really improved on last years performance are bell and cripps a shocking indictment
