I am a big Mick supporter. Team first approach.

Gotta hold your nerve. We are at a low now. There is no point jumping ship. He has the pedigree to do it. Him and Paul Roos.

Everyone is panicking - I say hold your nerve. Look through the players we have started to pick up and the regeneration of the list you will see it is happening slowly. Our president and Ceo needs to show some strength and stay unemotional. Sell the long term vision.

Teams are not built overnight. 50% of the list is gone. You can't expect instant success. Would be foolish to even think we can.

I agree.

The important part for me is that MM buys into the process and it's about development and building the next Premisership side, not short term results.

SOS needs to be left alone to build the list. If the club as a whole can buy into the right process I'm all for MM staying.

I'm a fan of not wasting money paying out sakced coaches. Does that count?

Finally someone with a cool head. What everyone on here doesn't realize is:
1: He culled a lot of players with experience that we're ultimately not the future - it's hurting us early on.
2: They will have the scarves out the window if they beat Collingwood and whinging about Mick will be a distant memory in their heads.

I agree.

At the end of the year I'd be happy to offer him $500K a year to coach.

If we make the finals he gets a $250K bonus.

If we make the Grand Final he gets another $250K bonus.

You get a million bucks for putting your club in a position to win flags.

Any idiot can @#$%&! up a club for $500K.

If he doesn't like that deal we pick up any idiot at $500K and we're no worse off.

Mick commenced the re-build last year. That was a big cull of players. Lots of new players this year. Biggest list turnover for years. We will have a better idea later in the season on whether we have got lucky for once with some recruits. Including hopefully one or two future leaders.

The extent of the list turnover showed that Malthouse wasn't going to be a woos with regard to the rebuild. Changing the playing culture can only happen by turning over the list. It's on and I hope that he is successful.

Exactly my view. It's hurting us early on but it was the right thing to do. What I find ironic is that many on here act exactly like the impatient twats they despise who have hurt the club for decades.

I guess you could say the Melbourne board/admin is in better shape, but everything else was much worse.

Congratulations Mick on a good win today. And positive signs for our future from a few who were questioned. Cripps will be a gun. If he stays on the park a rising star medal is a possibility this year. Bell has suddenly become a lock in for David King. Last week he was steak knives. It proves that Bell is a handy player and King has chosen the right career path whereby his "vision" cannot hurt a club. Stay in the media you idiot.
