Great to see a plethora of talented youth coming through, which hasn't really been the case since the late Pagan/early Ratten years.

..BB has had stuff all development, give him a few years to settle in.. ..i'm not sure what people expect out of him right away..

To give us at least a hint of why he was worth pick 19? Like most of our recruits, it's not that they are on our list at all, it's why we insisted they were worth the draft picks we took them with/traded for them.

..a separate discussion..

Is it? Let's not get surreal.

I don't see it as people having a go at BB's failings as human being. It's a judgement on the Carlton situation as a whole with BB being the particular detail in question at this point in time. I'm not reading the usual "pull your finger out, you're paid to... blah, blah, blah..!" type stuff at this stage. We all know football players are only the product of their genetics and their situations but I'm not reading anything counter intuitive yet. :?

..we usually agree on most parts in regards to our drafting.. ..and this time it's no different, I was sceptical of the choice to draft him at the time,, I was sceptical of the decision to trade pick 7 for the big deal because I had doubts on our ability to maximise the trade..

....but what's done is done, for better or worse and we've now got to temper our collective expectations of BB in his first couple of years.. ..we need to forget the rubbish written about him being mature age and ready to be a senior contributor, cos that was just fluff to justify the drafting decision..

We have a few exciting players it seems....but you wouldn't want them to be too good....given the guy who picked them/traded for them isn't at the club anymore
