Carlton players on a big airplane. Carlton players bitch to players from another club about denis pagan. One of the Carlton players has blonde hair and could have ended up at Collingwood, but didn't.

Exactly what part of the story didn't you understand Sheik? Or are you just being difficult for the sake of it?

Seeing as we're bringing out the same old questions, let's trot out the same old answers.

This is a glimps of what Dennis 'inherited' at the end of 2002. I've asked myself;
"Who were our quality players that would take us to the top again and beyond 2005?"

Given that we were un-able to pick ANY quality players, and incredibly stupid contracts meant no one would touch any good players without subsidies, not to mention the fact that the penalties meant we COULD NOT trade into the first 2 rounds for two years anyway...............

what was Dennis to do?

What would a funky young dude with tanned skin and white teeth be able to do with a list like this, Hmmmmmmmmmmm?

L. Whitnall - Worth keeping
A. Koutoufides - Costly champion
C Bradley - Aged 102
J Plunkett - Hack
M Allan - Selfish Hack
S Beaumont - Selfish Hack
S Camporeale - Selfish prick
R Houlihan - Jury - OUT
A McKay - Aged 97
J Murphy - hot/Cold
S Fletcher - FLFLFLFL
B Ratten - Retired gracefully
A Merrington - Who
D Gallagher - As above
C McKernan - What were we thinking
A Hickmott - Broken body
M Lappin - Hope to retain
G Manton - Good servant, now crazy
S Cranage - Who
B Fevola - Great footballer but has issues
I Prendergast - Only here because there's no one else
A Franchina - Not upto it
M Mansfield - Grrrrrr
T Hotton - Hack
A Eccles - Hack
A Christou - Retired gracefully
J Doering - Hack
L Livingston - Hack that's still playing
T Sporn - Hack that's still playing
B Thornton - Give him time
S Wiggins - Hack that's still playing
B Campbell - Who
J Davies - Last legs

Poor Old Callan Beasy he is forgorten again, ha ha

In all this 2003-2005 history reiteration, I wonder whether Pagan would have secured a contract extension during 2005 if we had have come 15th in 2004 on the back of 3-4 wins, like the anti-Paganites are saying.

He'd be long gone in my view.

You have to factor some job preservation in to any calculation in business.

So Sheik, you're saying that you genuinely couldn't follow the gist of the story?

Somehow, I doubt it. All you're doing is passing judgement on the way it's written. But why? Are you the editor here?

And is there any chance you could post something positive or constructive at some time? Just curious.

I don't give a rat's what you think about my ability to read that junk John, I did not follow it and found it quite difficult to read and that is the fact of the matter.

As for writing something constructive etc ...... hmmmn, let me see, ........ maybe I could knock up a poem ??

As for positive, well I'll try to wear those navy-coloured glasses and I'll say that ............ we've got the best list in the competition and we will be threatening the final 8 in 2006. How does that sound ??

Poem-off between Sheik and Dannyboy over the pre-season sounds good.

Dannyboy:

Play under the sun and the moon
The earth turns asunder
Mighty Blues seeking revenge
On all those betwixt

Sheik
No one on here is funny
No one on here has a source
No one on here makes sense
I think I barrack for Carlton but can't be sure.

The Swans are Red,
Carlton are Blue,
They won the flag,

Can I join in?

Every coach is past it
Every player a hack
A dud president whose priority
Is to pay the money back

It's not about football
Or heroes of the past
It's all about the the draft picks
And celebrating last

Never pay a compliment
Never give an inch
Keep the bastards honest
A board challenge is a cinch

Doesn't matter where the money is
About circumstances so tragic
We will eat our own alive
Unless they perform some magic

It's my right as a member
To tear at the club's core
I handed over a week's pay
What the hell is my money for?

We're the Carlton Football Club
We're not allowed to lose
Forget all about reality
We're the mighty Blues
