I think even Matthew Lloyd is related to Campo ( by marriage - if what I heard is true)

Just to clarify what I said earlier in case dboy is laughing at any unintended innuendo, insinuation or implication....... the story I heard from Essendon* connections in Darwin is that Matthew Lloyds' wife is Campos' sister. If this is true it might explain why Campo is eager to go to the Bombers. Can anyone shed any light?

BTW dannyboy, I enjoyed your recent stoush with DeannoS. I suggest that the two of you get together to create one alter ego for the both of you. (dannysupremo?) You could intergrate your avatars. A big blue afro figure with middle finger extended banging head on keyboard would be appropriate. :)

Too many stubbies NT.

Lloyds wife's maiden name was Caparello from memory.
She's also Victorian.

Seems a nice person although she does appear very vague. Perhaps thats where they made the connection?

Thankd BV. Maybe too many stubbies. Have you seen the size of a Darwin stubbie?

Maybe someone confused the slightly similar surnames after a Darwin stubbie or two.

"Who's that bloke? He could run through a minefield at night and not set a single one off" - my Dad describing Eddie Betts after he ducked and weaved his way through a pack to kick a goal.

Exactly right....the work ethic and hunger to succeed shown by the likes of Betts, AB, Carlos etc. will become more and more influential on their young teamates and new draftees as the years pass. Extremely important at the moment.

Oh for sure.

19 games, 19 goals, averaging a goal a game for those of you who are trying to do the math.

I know one particular person on this site who doesn't rate him because he is "slow as shit, doesn't kick bags of goals and doesn't take marks and can't crumb". Small forwards aren't meant to take marks and while his pace isn't Tambling/Davey fast, I think he is fast enough for a small forward. Certainly fast enough to give everyone else the slip out on the field.

Can't wait for the day when he rams home 8 goals. That'll be a day to remember, I reckon.

Imagine if he had a year like Jeff Farmer 2000. Now that would be sweet :)

Don't know how many times I've posted this but Eddies only problem this year was that he chased, harrased, tackled, blocked, shepherded from the forward line to half back almost always on his own.

He'ld play for 5-10 min and then be wasted for 10minutes.

He had a bad injury year last year and was unfit at draft camp time which is why he was ignored in the draft. By the time PSD came around he'ld shown he was getting back on track and wasn't going to stay fat (Hi Dean if your listening  )....thus the kid got picked up unusually in the PSD.

After a good pre-season, and some others contributing to forward and midfield defensive pressure get ready for a big year!
