No, the point of internet forums is to indulge your Walter Mitty fantasies by creating a fictitious persona with omnipotent tendencies. Then proceeding to insult all and sundry under the security blanket of anonymity.

Well I think if a person was ridiculed for their thoughts and then a couple years later those thoughts appear to be on the money I have no problem with them digging up old stuff.

Sad and alias-y or not, CG was on the money all the way back then and seems to be the only one in that post who hasnt changed his tune all this time...

Credit where credit is due, I wish we had have gone on his 5 year plan...

...even if he was, essentially, trolling...

So you have a problem with that do you ??

I don't mind speaking up in the defence of others if they are deserving of it and in this instance he is.

Maybe you should try getting off the fence occasionally .................. oh that's right, far easier to avoid ridicule if you just agree with the majority !!

havre I missed something

has there been a declaration of Pagan's shittiness as a coach?

is it now in the Guiness Book of records?

I thought we were still talking about beliefs, dear me didn't realize it had become fact.

@#$%&! i hope we don't make the finals this year - that'll be like Darwinism all over again!

Oh rock the bedrock baby!

Dannyboy there were some doubters in his first year who were told by most to wait for his 3 years to finish before passing judgement. That time is up and we are worse than before he came.

are we worse off though? How has this become fact?

I am very happy with the list he and the club are putting together, they are young but there is talent there. And I think we all said it would take far longer than 5 years - (gone on someone do a search)

i am expecting some kids to start showing stuff this year although i still think we'll be near the bottom but to me its like the whizzfizz cup, signs, glimpses of the path. With a young list and the distance we are coming back from i expect it to take time.

See to me its like saying Denis Pagan has failed. has he?

if we ditched him now and won the flag in 4 years will mainly this group - would he have failed?

Denis is putting a list together - that to me is his first objective cos we had shite before) - i have no caomplaints with that list at this time... Though yes i would have traded lance for a pick or so, and campo for a second round pick or so

but that's me. Frankly I think denis is a far better coach than me.

Should he be questioned/ Without a doubt.

But it is silly to say thats it, i am right, you were wrong... This is a long, long haul. We've done the first act in a three act play. jesus some patience wouldn;t go astray.

Equally, should that mean that subscribers to that belief , dredge up all the ridiculous comments that they have made in the past?

and timing too, dredge them up at the end of 20004 or after the Whizzfizz cup. See itds all about belief, belief and time and sometimes they kiss, like ying and tang, at the kissing moment you dredge them up, but a kiss is not proof of love, only lust. 8)

Jesus Sheik, save me the 'copped plenty for it' plea. You know as well as I do that Carlton God's internet persona is built around a constant tirade of abuse, sarcasm and piss-taking. Yes, he has an opinion and has stuck to it, but virtually every post has contained at least three references to the 'rest of us' being 'morons' 'sheep' 'infantiles' 'etc' 'etc' 'etc'...

The person who posts as Carlton God knows this, and I suspect he understands full well why others may not take kindly to the way he posts (seeing as his posting style is a deliberate attempt to create a silly, over the top persona, this should come as no surprise)

Are you seriously suggesting that the person who posts as Carlton God has somehow unduly copped too much criticism? That he's copped more shit than he's flung???

He's a target because he made himself one with tongue firmly in cheek. It's obvious, isn't it?

I love your optimism Dannyboy but I think the list is just about the worst I've ever seen. I think we are at least another 3 years away from even thinking about finals and I just hope the development of our youth isn't hurt by the lack of senior players we have left.

na the worst list i have ever seen was 3/4years ago - now that was a shocker because it had no future only a buch of present players tottering on the edge of being past players.

Yes......as to what has happened between the wizard cup and August. Why did we go from a hard running, hard taclkling , highly committed team to a disinterested rabble lacking direction or cohesion. He's almost had 2 teams, pre 2004, post 2004, and managed to lose them both. The Wizzer and 2004 season actually shows we can play football when committed.
