And the other club president's had some input too I think.

Will Collo reign for the next 20 years like big Jack or will he be out if we fail next season? how hard is this position to lose?

He'll stand aside within the next two years as highlighted in the article about Swan and Kenny leaving the board IIRC.

I think it is good that Collo can realise when his time is up and when to step aside to let some fresh blood take over. Something that John couldn't do and when he did show some sign of doing it, all he could come up with is Colin DeLutis.

Delutis is dumb too....

People talk Fitzpatrick but does anyone have a clue about his footballing philosophies?
Not too many... and he doesnt want the job. He likes the cushie jobs,

Bruce Mathieson is a guy who could give this club a shakeup but doiesnt have the time at the moment.

A good prospect is Marcus Clarke , Ron Clarks son.. (Essendon* supporter.. and godson of Ron Evans :)
*succesful in the legal fraternity.... done some work on the Social Club Board.. '
*right age (Around 40)
*Speaks well...and presents well
* has a background in fitness and is well abreast of fitness issues and sporting issues.Shares a mateship with Craig from Adelaide who is also a fitness wizz.
*Is just as comfortable with the average fan and a pie with sauce as he is in a board room.
*Fully understands the issues facing the club in the MODERN era...

Some say he was DRUNK on power, but these people merely feel CHEATED that god didn't make them half the man Jack was. In comparison, the current admin is merely GROPING and LURCHING around like a blind man in the dark, BANKRUPT of ideas.

The way some people knock Jack is terrible. They have no respect for their ELDERS and if they ever had to run an organisation themselves, would undoubtedly turn to WATER at the WHEEL.

And don't think for a moment that old Jack spent his last decade TRADING on his reputation. That sort of thinking is INSOLVENT, and I'd hate to think that anyone here would be GUILTY of it.

John thats a brilliant post to mine.. but did you have to resort to sarcasm to get a point across? :P

Ummmmmmm... BV.. Dinosaurs??? We just signed up Fred Flintstone on nearly 400k a year without conditions on getting himself fit...and told everyone he a clubman....

Have a YABADABA DO TIME!!!!!!!!!!

YABBADABADOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

So he is a barrister called Marcus Clarke.

When requesting a sentence in court does he ask 'For the term of his natural life'?

sorry for the lame literary reference,

Try the Veal, I'm here all week.

A work associate who has dealings with one of the big-wigs at Mayne said that when Collo was off sick Bruce Mathieson had the joint jumping.

But do I remember correctly that when he first signed on for the board he was actually quite reluctant to do so? If true, I'm sure now that he is in the inner sanctum, he can see how much time and effort the job actually entails. I'd be surprised if would want it.

Well Mathieson i doubt would have been involved as we would like.. he is in Qld.. frying some pretty big fish.
If there is anyone on the current board that wouldnt put up with the bullshit that we have been putting up with its Big Bruce...

Unfortunately like most succesful people.. his priorities lie elsewhere.. but he commands alot of influence when he has the time to do stuff.. (Behind the scenes) The Dan Murphys sponsorship has his fingerprints all over it..
