Top of Oxford street Paddington end, "the Lighthorseman" or something like that.

Always shows the AFL with sound (not always a option in NRL city) and has a big screen for the main games!

Not sure if there is a reliable Bondi establishment with AFL but Bondi Hotel often has it on a little tv away from the cultured league watchers!!!!

Lighthouse Woolhara is a good idea. They are set up for it.

Not sure if Adele (of the NSW suppporetr network) is running the televised Carlton games at The Royal these days.

At this very minute I am taking the kids (and myself) to the Gabba after the kids play their match in the morning, BUT if we dont go I'll notify you and invite you over to watch it over at my place if you prefer.
That way you dont miss the beginning if you finish at 4.30 and are in Bondi.

I'm 600 metres from the beach (or Bondi Hotel), and I get too into the game to want to watch it at pubs like The Royal.

Touring Australia in August. Voice seems to have improved recently. Will probably do a 15 minute acoustic set with Blowin' in the Wind and Times They Are a'Changin'.

Anyway, wrong thread.

http://www.carltonfc.com.au/news/2014-0 ... n-round-12

Not surprised to read Judd's return has been pushed back until (at least) Round 12. Hope Bell isn't out for much longer.

I take these injury updates with a grain of salt, but positive news about Buckley & Curnow and I guess 'no news is good news' re: Carrazzo.

If Buckley is OK, then we could see No Change this week. Robbo & Carrazzo aren't automatic inclusions, IMO, but either or both might come in if Buckley is still sore (it's a short week) and if Garlett or Ellard are dropped. No VFL this week, which is a shame because Carrazzo & Garlett could do with the minutes.

Given we have 3 games in 12 days, I wonder if Hendo might be rested for this interstate trip? Not that we can afford to rest him in the short term, but thinking longer term we shouldn't flog him if he's not right and I'd rather he be freshened up for the Cats & Hawks games. The Gabba is traditionally a hard track and he looks to be labouring. Do we read something into Watson playing forward in the VFL last week? Hmmmm. I don't like the idea of Watson & Casboult in the same forward line to be honest. The side starts to look slow with Watson, Casboult, Rowe & Warnock.

If Hendo needs a rest, I'd rather we brought in Blaine Johnson and went slightly smaller in the forward line. We can swing Everitt forward more too.

All the jumper designs for indigenous round are here:

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-05-27/indigenous-round-jumpers?camefrom=EMCL_303506_14059531

Ours is fairly good I think.

Essendon* , Melbourne, Port, Richmond are all a bit dull and drab.

Geelong and GWS are a bit cringeworthy!

Some do look pretty good, but all are absolutely unnecessary.

I think the best 3 are Carlton, bombers and Melbourne.

All the others are way over done , worst are Geelong , Gold Coast and GWS

... And Hawthorn, and Sydney ......

Interesting how they've lined up all the indigenous players for each club.

67 indigenous players on clubs' primary lists or an average of 3.72 per club.

The top four clubs have an average of 6.00 indigenous players on their lists.

The middle eight clubs have an average of 4.38 indigenous players on their lists.

The bottom four clubs have an average of 2.00 indigenous players on their lists.

At this stage that's correlation rather than causation however it'd be interesting to track it over time.

Its a recognition & celebration of what Indigenous Players have contributed to our great game. Why is it unnecessary??
