We went to Arizona on November 11th 2012 http://flagstaffsportsmassage.wordpress.com/events/

I agree it was poor management to allow Mick to go on the book tour in October as he missed the trade period, but can we please stop claiming he missed preseason in November.

there are some holidays during the preseason.

when did Roos go and for how long?

Roos was present at the start of the preseason though.

All hands on deck for the start of the new assault for a flag

(and besides I dont give a Flower what the demons do and what the great game wrecking master coach Roos does. I am only concerned with the Blues. Why did we tolerate this shit?)

Roos knew he had the job months ago.
His children wernt on book launching campaigns
His wife though didnt allow him to coach for a few years.... she didnt back down to him........
She said "no... i like Sydney" ... he said "yes dear.. ok honey buns....!!!"

till the AFL gave him a contract too good to be true...

So we have two clowns who haven't won a game yet this year....

maybe they can go on holidays or organize a sausage sizzle

that will get things rolling at their clubs

Players must be very impressed with priorities and work rate from the head coaches

Handled poorly by both clubs....(and I am sure Mick wasn't looking what Roos was doing in his spare time)

Great to see the carlton members in here, taking comfort from what the Great Demons are doing at their club....and using this to defend the Great Mick malthouse

He has damaged us more than any other employ could ever do. Not Sticks. Not Swan. Not the controlling board.

He had his own agenda from the start that has hustled everyone but it has truly now come to light.

I was wrong I thought he had us playing crap footy so he can pretend to turn over the list and then call it his team but that's not good enough for his ego and selfishness he wants to dry us dry.

Many have said from the start that Mick is only for Mick, well here it is for all to see and we continue to assist him in destroying our club from within. :screwy:

All that remains is to see if we are stupi enough to falll for it.

ROFLMAO. Are you for real? Have you forgotten what 2012 was like? Destroying our club from within!!!!???? Well, that bit is correct, I guess. But it wasn't Mick. That horse had well and truly bolted by the time Mick arrived.

You gotta go back a long time, but if you wanna point fingers, point to the board.

And, while we're speaking, it needs to be said. If these flower leeches (the billionaires) are fair dinkum, then stop flower around, pay off the WHOLE FLOWER DEBT (not dribs and drabs), and then FLOWER OFF. We don't need you. We just need your money. So cough up, and go!!

If you had a queue for who's destroyed this once-great club, well Mick is standing right at the back of it........

..in a certain light, this club needs to be broken down so it can be built up.. ..and better an outsider do it..

If you recall I have continually said that I don't know of another example of a senior coach not attending the start of the preseason at their club. I even said "if someone knows of an example then I stand corrected"

thanks for pointing out that ROOS took a similar leave of absence at the demons when he took over.

I notice that Roos is also winless as a coach at the demons (even though Mick went on his book launching tour the year before)

Would you say that senior coaches not being present at the start of the preseason is common?

Do you think its a good idea?

funny how you conveniently skimmed past my post that showed Mick was at the club on day 1 of preseason.

mick's book tour was in october during trade period. not that it makes it anymore respectable, but at least be accurate when we're criticising the club.

Quote:
With the new book scheduled to be launched on October 23, Malthouse will begin his promotional tour with Christi on October2 4 but a lengthy series of engagements in Western Australia have been either cut or brought forward given the Blues' Arizona trip.

Mick was at the first preseason session on November 5th 2012 http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-pre ... 6511071392

Wish Mick had stayed on that book tour
We would be better off
Surely he has another book in him
Write it Mick and go touring now

BTW...

This thread is rapidly becoming the stupidest thread on the site (and there's some serious competition).

Worrying about the actual date Mick started at Carlton is like a couple of restaurant owners who've just infected 50,000 people with salmonella arguing about whether the salt should be on the left of the pepper or the right.

Get some @#$%&! perspective for @#$%&!'s sake!

The place is disintegrating before our eyes and we're worried about two weeks in October 2012?

Does it matter anyway? We were contractually hamstrung during trade period...

No disrespect but you can`t be serious. With all the teeth gnashing currently going on with Mick, you want to go after another old coach? He was even unsure about coaching Essendrugs and had to be coaxed into it. Don`t worry their wheels will fall off (even without ASADA). And what would he cost? Seriously we are like that farm near Tullamarine where old Melb` Cup winners go to pasture.
Let`s get honest, rebuild properly, better assistants/development, better recruiting, accountable leaders.
When the time comes, what say we find a young, innovative, hungry coach by interviewing a few of them.
