I am waiting for a call from them as well regarding the member discount. Its not the money, its about how they value their members.

The membership states that we get a 10% discount, did not say for certain items. Poor Form I think.

I wanted to order it and pick it up myself and I work in the city so I can pick it up.

The Online ordering system does not even allow for this.

My thoughts exactly...been a member since 1991 and if they don't allow members discount on this, it's time for a facebook/twitter rampage :fight: Imagine the positive PR they'd get if they gave every Carlton member who has been signed up continously for say 10 years a big discount on this item as a thank you for their support.....

Imagine how good it would be if they gave a big discount to every TC member whose name started with an M and ended with an N

If I don't get my $12.50 discount I'm going to burn down VISY park.

I think you'd find that would generate negative PR. I also think you've got to think about merchandise sales. But there's a bigger picture with this one - and I'll post something about it in the next day or two.

Perhaps if everyone who goes into the shop to buy the jumper let's the shop people know that they'd like this to be the permanent CFC on the jumper, the message might filter through to those who make the decisions...

Good idea.

So you're presuming that the people employed at the shop actually communicate with board members? That would be very naive. There's another solution.

Can the Club even change the logo without AFL approval?

More the merchandise manager passing it on to his manager, which might be Swann. What's the other solution Doc?

A petition has been set up to try & garner support for making this jumper a permanent feature.

Please sign & spread the word if you'd like to see this jumper stick around.

When you compare the two side by side it makes our current emblem look ridiculously stupid.

I'll be buying one.

When Dane burns down Visy he could take time to burn an old school logo into the turf. Message delivered

Mixed feelings re the big bold cfc.

Nice to see it but it represents a very, VERY, different club.

:banghead:

You won't get board support for this in 2014. In all likelihood this jumper won't see the light of day in 2015. Would you accept 2016 with a caveat that the AFL get the final say?

What's the problem? The sooner one/s make the statement the sooner it may get recognized.

People just telling the club that this is what they want. Got a better way? Go for it.

The problem in 2014 is Kernahan. The problem in 2015 is agreements made with Nike. The problem with the petition is it's as amateurish as the 'Fev Rally'. I'm happy to let a few board members and media types know that this is the jumper that the majority of Carlton fans would like to see worn, but this issue isn't going to get resolved on the back of a petition.

That will make all the difference..........The Sherrif (sorry Sherrin) rolls up and puts his boots on the board table and says......"Now listen ya'all"

Do it but don't tell young people they shouldn't be going things about their own way. You never know which straw may break the camels back...and Kernahan is irrelevant.

Good Luck by the way...........as every little bit helps.
