They're not Director's expenses. They are transactions that the club has put through a business or entity that the Director is associated with. For instance, in Fahour's case it would be any money the club spent with Australia Post. In Kernahan's case, it would be any money the club spent with Kernahan's printing company.

Oz Post: membership packages would take up a fair chunk of that I'd imagine.

Visy: recycling, waste, packaging for memberships, displays, signage, logistics… I'm just guessing here.

The annual report should specify that.
I don't understand, why should we buy from oz post or visy if they SPONSOR Carlton?

Essentially, it's people like Geoffrey Edelsten who make donations to the club. His 'tax-deductible' donation to the club goes through the Australian Sports Foundation. The ASF receive to what amounts as a commission off the top. So long as there is a registered project started by Carlton - whether that be a plunge pool or team travel to Arizona, donations to that 'cause' are welcomed.

This is a pretty small deal in the grand scheme of things really.

The sponsors trade mark is then used in all forms of Carlton's media advertising-hence the sponsors increase in value of their trade mark

I think the question that Mosquito Fleet needs answered for him is: are Australia Post one of our sponsors?

Answer: No, no they are not, so why the hell would we get free postage?

The expenses being linked to Ahmed Fahour are almost no different to linking banking fees to someone in the membership department who also works part time at ANZ, with one slight difference: Ahmed can get us a discount.

Revenue $57m = $1m paid off debt and $500k profit

Richmond:
Revenue $44.8m = $3m profit (zero debt) - 2 consecutive years of $3m profit from $12m less turnover

A couple of expenses:

Carlton:
Administration expenses - $2.7m
Membership expenses - $3.4m

Richmond (2012):
Administration expenses - $700k
Membership expenses - $1.8m

$3.6m difference and nothing to do with pokies.
