Jamo & Hendo shld get first crack at Kpd spots
..agree about Jamo, currently he is still our best option for FB.. ..though perhaps Everitt might be the smokey on our list now to offer an alternative option to Jamo at FB.. ..otherwise i don't see any other player on our list to push Jamo out [besides himself {injuries}]..
....as for Hendo, he's so far in front for our best KPP player it's not funny [sad actually].. ..not to mean he's no good, he's very good.. ..very very good, but too alone in that group of up and coming kpps.. .... ..i think he must play as a KPF, provides great structure and leadership up fwd, gets on the scoreboard early in games [helps with scoreboard pressure when leading, and keeping us in the game when trailing].. ..hendo is good on the lead, good running back with the flight, good in a one on one contested situation.. ..he is a good set shot, good around the corner, good crumbing.. ..he is easily AA quality..
..in regards to other 'best 22' lists.. ..too many options i think, without proven games in regards to whether they play well with us.. ..i like Temay as our BP, good kid and i think has what it takes, but so far still potential until he plays a season for us in seniors, but could be the future answer to BP concerns.. ....
..not sure about Watson fwd, especially as a deep fwd cos i think he lacks the agility/take-off speed to get separation from a FB.. .... ..i think he is more a CHB material type, but if played fwd then a roaming CHF/HF sort.. ..i think he needs to play a roaming game, vs a lead-up target.. .... ..i think he can be more damaging as a rebounding CHB type if he gets used off the HB line because it's not just his booming kick, but more'so how accurate he is.. ..either to position or target, both long kicking and short kicking, he is very good.. [send him to a boxing ring and sprint training for pre-season]
..Docherty, he seems more a HBF sort yes?, will he provide competition for the BP role..?.. ..he looks better if allowed to play loose across HB at times, so not sure how he goes needing to play a tight accountable role on a dangerous small fwd..
..the ruck conundrum.. .... ..ideally 2 first rucks working in concert is the best, and if they can gain domination and ascendency in the ruck contests for most of the game, with smart midfield set-ups designed to take advantage!!, then i'm less concerned with how much ball they get outside the taps, if their ruck strength is unrelenting.. ..but to get this, i think we need a better/smarter HF line.. ..we need better F50 entries, cos neither ruck is a KPF type marking power.... ..so we need to kick the ball to their advantage, especially with Knocker's reach advantage [how hard can that be?]
..i think Rowe is an interesting player.... ..obviously was still recovering and struggling with fitness/repeat efforts this year.. ..but he does have some kpp smarts, most likely some natural ability but the games experience under his belt helps him a lot.. ..but he provides a good contest [while fitness lasts], sure hands and a reliable kicking action.. ..but he also knows how to work well with another KPF [something bolt struggles with and even waite isnt so good at].. ..but also like Bolt, Rowe isn't much of a chop-out in the ruck.. ..i'd like to play him as a kpp, vs a kpp + ruck..
