Good point maybe we should.

haha Sorry Dane. I can't speak for Synbad but it isn't my intention to bore you. I am sure some appreciate Synbad's clever word play and giggle faces he puts in after questions and dots.

Maybe in my pm i should ask Synbad to count the picks of each club in that period and remind him that Melbourne, Essendon** and Richmond have not even won a final in that time.
Bad pool of players or a flawed plan. I know this isn't what he wants to hear as he was so gungho on tanking for picks. To see that it is a flawed plan would make his decision making on par with those at the club that he despises.

you didnt PM me.. you brought it back here but told people you would PM...

But you didnt really... i sitting here patiently waiting for you , redback and big wave...

You have to be kidding.

You can argue Ratten had taken the list as far as he could and thats fair enough, but don't ignore the fact he took a team which had finished at or near bottom the 3 previous years to the finals 3 consecutive years and with a bit of luck could have progressed further.

Hardly Lost Years and its crap to claim they were.

Malthouse v Ratten arguments are pointless. They've coaches the team at different points, under different circumstance.

If you're going to judge one hard though, please judge the other the same way.

the team isnt going to stay at the bottom with so many number 1 picks early picks and early picks and after 5 years plus of him we didnt have a leader....

he failed to find leadership at the club after 120 games... Dont forget that!!!.... here no leadership..... no leadership here!!!

The guy was shocking!!!

Nobody could have done worse....

Nobody could have done worse?

Please...

He's gone, lets move on.

Hardwick is coming into his 5th year. One final. No final wins.

Hird 3 years no finals wins even with a list littered with top 10 picks , a gun father/son and swag of performance enhancing drugs.

Make the bullshit stop.

Played finals after years of floundering at the bottom of the ladder and picking up wooden spoons, or have you forgotten those years?
Consistently in the finals when most other teams haven’t improved or plummeted and his list still made the finals this year with a bullshit game plan.
We have been a better than average team making the finals under Ratten so now it’s Micky’s turn to show how good he is.

How will your super coach improve us next year?
Is he good enough to replicate Lyon as was described earlier and applauded by so many?

We will soon find out how great he really is.

If you want to stop the bullshit all Micky has to do is perform, or is he beyond approach?

He's beyond approach..... :snigger:

lol, i read that and thought "Moshe would have liked that"

and BANG , next post

you're right there

Wow. I have been missing here for a while but I didn't expect all this negative mentality.

Ross Lyon did sweet FA at the Dockers in his first season comparing to what he had to work with. They were all over the place beating great sides one week and delivering a pathetic game the following. Sure they were moving in the right direction, but they couldn't make it click on the same day when it was needed.

Mick is here to do the same with a far more ordinary list. He needs to turn things over by getting what we need to the club and flicking the list cloggers. We have hung on to ordinary players for far too long. We give him a chance to fix part of the problem next season, and then add to that in 2015 to make us ultra competitive. We give him a chance to prove his worth and if he fails we grill him here like a juicy steak. However we back him while he works out what will work for this club.

We lost Setanta, Russell, Thornton, Bower and they have not become world beaters at other clubs. Setanta injury excluding. We have delisted a group recently that look like they will do nothing at any club either. Laidler is being shopped around for a small compensation in return. I expect more to go next season. Our drafting hasn't been great and our developing of our juniors has been ridiculous for years. Give Mick a break and a chance to prove he is a Dud. He is our coach. We love our club. We live with what we have a continue to believe. Without belief we may better go support the Bulldogs. Vent all you like here guys but please have some belief. Some. Hang in there guys. Pagan has left the building years ago.

Just think if we had a fit Daisy, Heath Shaw, and had Josh Kennedy back at the club we would be a completely different unit at the moment.

..Judd deal on it's own is fine.. .it's the following year, it's 2nd and 3rd picks for warnock, year after that 1st pick for McLean.. ..you can do the big deal for the superstar, but after judd needed to go hard in draft following year.. ..should have gone draft instead, and the following year passed mclean and have 2 mid 1st round picks.. ..its the 2 years directly after the judd deal when we needed to go the draft extra hard, instead of lightly..

Not many clubs give up a gun CHF... a top 5 pick and a top 20 pick for one player...plus a million plus dollars to get u in the salary cap straight jacket

Definitely can end up being a snake devouring itself from its tail....

Put Kennedy Masten and whoever was pick 20 up against Judd in any game of 3 on 1 and he will be flogged... cos he doesnt run hard both ways to apply defensive pressure....

Pick 20 was Tony Notte.
We also got pick 46 which we used to draft Armfield.

Masten and Kennedy played most of the year for West Coast and they finished 12th! Takes more than 1 or 2 players to make a club!

I'm confused. Should we have pulled out all the stops to get Judd or not?
