Knew it was ours when two Tigers rucked against each other... And palmed it to us

That is without doubt the best win since 1999. if you look closely you can see the moment they ran out of puff. Sometime early in the 3rd qtr. about 10m in from memory. They simply stopped.

Kreuzer/Warnock ruck combo worked a treat. Menzel as sub was perfect.

Duigan and Bell the two that made the difference. Without those two, the boys would be drinking beers tomorrow.

best weekend EVER!!!!!

They were wandering around dazed and confused at the end of the game. Some may not go home tonight   .

Put the win in perspective.
Their top players are great although I reckon Riewoldt is overrated big time
After that they have some average players

Great comeback but Richmond's ladder position flattered them
Another example of why the draw and playing only 5 teams twice is such a stupid concept.

Beating them in round 21 was a huge plus. The players had belief they could do it again.

Call me a fun sucker but if you put the win in perspective it was a good win, just a good win. It just happened to be a final.

Shows the lack of success we have had has distorted people's brains a bit.

Given that if we win next week I will be over the moon and join the optimistic club.

For not the first time in the last few weeks you are blatantly WRONG. Richmond beat Hawthorn by 41 point in round 19. But I suppose they're not much chop.

FMD, there's no pleasing some "supporters".

They thrashed Hawthorn, but I am guessing with your knowledge of the game you don't rate the Hawks

Actually glad I didn't take kids today. It was a bit tense after the game and lots of angry feral people outside MCG.

Just back from the game now, I got nothing left, I'm emotionally spent.

Just settling down to watch the replay on Fox Footy, because actually I can't remember much about today except singing the song about 5 times at the end.

Ah sorry got it wrong.
Still don't rate the tigers as some on here. They rely too much on their top half dozen.
And it aint crap that playing 5 teams twice is a joke.

The positions teams finish at the end of the 22 games can be misleading particularly from 5 onwards.

Its not the best win since the 99 prelim
That is such a stupid statement
I want us to take a big scalp.
If we don't beat Sydney the season has been a failure in my view.
Simple as that
I want to see these blokes beat a top 4 team
no flower excuses.
I thought we would win today.

Next week is where it really counts
Period
If any supporter thinks otherwise they accept average yearly performances
Just ask King Kerna

It's left me with a dilemna though: Who do I talk to first at work on Monday?

The Essendon* supporters? I thanked them all last week for gifting us a bonus finals match. Now I can thank them for two bonus finals matches.
The Collingwood supporters? To offer my condolences and share with them how nice it is for us to have a coach who knows how to win finals.
The Richmond supporters? To thank them for being so damn Richmond.
The Geelong supporters? To ponder with them how they could have possibly lost at the unlosable venue. (you should've heard them all Friday).

That's if any of them show up ... a few reckoned I'd be too unbearable to be around if Carlton won.

Oh bliss.

Don't get this rush behind free that Mitch gave away. 1 metre out from the goal line, heaps of players around, that's under pressure in my eyes...
If the score were level and there was only seconds left in the match and Ivan Maric punches the ball out of a ruck contest on the full through for a point is it a free kick to us or does the point stand...

You cannot punch the ball through the posts (goals or behinds) on the full from a ball up within 10meters of the posts - been a rule for a few quite a few years now. Someine needs to send Robbo a copy of the AFL rules for him to read over the summer!
