Classic Carlton.

Mick did a great job. I wouldn't have done anything different. Touch of Foreman v Ali . We wore their punches and then when it opened up ran over them.
More run than I expected.

Too good on the day.

Great results all weekend...................'cept for the Hockey & Abbott win.

Looks like you back the wrong teams, Club. Richmond too slow again. Thought their training loads were tailored for this match.

Howdy Birdtown, Anyone who has ever turned off the radio to spark a comeback knows where I was coming from . Classic reverse moz.
I did expect the tigers to be better prepared than us but in the end that wasn't enough. I said we will be down by 30pts and then we will roll the dice when things open up and from there will be our chance. Pretty much how it turned out.
Thought Mick did exactly what I would have. He set up to let them use up tickets while we sat back and wore the best they had. They went a man down which helped and it was all us from their. I did expect more from the tigers but you are right they can't beat us no matter how trained up they are. As Synbad says "we are in their heads".

Club, too parochial for them after the last game (heavy legs, no kudos for the shut downs/effort) & again this week leading up to this match. Richmond by how many.
Say you're sorry & why & then move on. Support Carlton.

There is no doubt when we last met they were gearing up for the finals and that effected their performance. In the end that wasn't enough though. I think our coaching panel were clever in the way they dealt with it today.

But you are right I was wrong thinking our chances were low. Sorry Birdtown .

Apparently Mrs Last didn't seem to mind but it took the edge of the win from Mr Last. :smoking:

My wife just reminded me, in the heat of battle midway thru the 4th, apparently I yelled I'm buying a dog and calling it Gibbsy.

My children went to bed telling her how excited they are and how they can't wait to meet Gibbsy.

He better be an Alsatian...

Good win but Richmond have only beaten Freo this year( the one win against a good team). Played the Bullies and Saints twice Essendon*** when they were [REDACTED].

Put the win in perspective.
Their top players are great although I reckon Riewoldt is overrated big time
After that they have some average players

Great comeback but Richmond's ladder position flattered them
Another example of why the draw and playing only 5 teams twice is such a stupid concept.

Beating them in round 21 was a huge plus. The players had belief they could do it again.

Call me a fun sucker but if you put the win in perspective it was a good win, just a good win. It just happened to be a final.

Shows the lack of success we have had has distorted people's brains a bit.

Given that if we win next week I will be over the moon and join the optimistic club.

Fun Sucker!
Take away the three soft 50s and we have a 40 point win.
I'll take that.

Shame we didnt, i took the $12.00

I am putting my hand up for criticism. I stopped recording the Ch 7 telecast half way through the second. Couldn't stand the arm chair ride they were getting and thought we were no chance.

Sincere apologies to all and sundry. I was wrong.

Foxtel IQ set to record the replay though

I can't stand Mick. He is an ok coach though. At his best in finals.

Oh joy oh joy. From the 10th minute when I gave it to the tigers fans in the MCC bar who called "ball" after 0.001 sec every time. Yep,you gave it to me for a half. But you all went missing in the last! I finished you off with the classic soccer chant "we've all gone quiet over there"!!!!

Damn you've tortured me but its moments like this when I love this footy club so much!

Free kicks and Warnock and Kreuz. The umps finally evened it up and in the ruck we had our hand on the ball 1st at every stoppage.

Most enjoyable win since the 99 prelim.
I still can't believe those 3 soft 50m penalty goals given to Richmond in the first half - and the non holding the ball decision against Waite. The scores should have been much closer at half time.

Another huge mistake by the MC unless he is injured. Levi always seems to play well against Richmond. Still, its what we have come to expect ... The MC has stuffed things up all year.

Suck it up princess
