Mick did a great job. I wouldn't have done anything different. Touch of Foreman v Ali . We wore their punches and then when it opened up ran over them.
More run than I expected.

Too good on the day.

Looks like you back the wrong teams, Club. Richmond too slow again. Thought their training loads were tailored for this match.

Howdy Birdtown, Anyone who has ever turned off the radio to spark a comeback knows where I was coming from . Classic reverse moz.
I did expect the tigers to be better prepared than us but in the end that wasn't enough. I said we will be down by 30pts and then we will roll the dice when things open up and from there will be our chance. Pretty much how it turned out.
Thought Mick did exactly what I would have. He set up to let them use up tickets while we sat back and wore the best they had. They went a man down which helped and it was all us from their. I did expect more from the tigers but you are right they can't beat us no matter how trained up they are. As Synbad says "we are in their heads".

Don't know what Roos is on about by us not deserving to be there. flower Melbourne don't deserve to be in the flower comp. He's just pissed off that we didn't wait for another year for him.

sung it with many supporters as we watched the boys sing in the rooms from the big screen on the G.
I am completely delirious.
I really don't know exactly how we won. so much noise there..
I think there was a legend called Judd, followed by moment after moment of the boys standing up and making it count.
hats off to Duigs..heart and will of a champ. garlett, and Eddie, and Gibbs, and of course Mitch!!! I'm sure there are others, so I'll go and watch the replay, then read every post in this thread.
just floating...
happy happy happy. :smoking:
thanks blueboys.

Just got home.

Said the same thing to Teddy Jnr. Classic rope a dope. Soaked up their punches in the first half and came out running in the second half and the Tiges couldn't keep up.

Is this a new game plan by MM? The Blues have done it a few times this season with great effect. If so, the man has invented a new game plan yet again.

If it is, it's fraught with danger.

Club, too parochial for them after the last game (heavy legs, no kudos for the shut downs/effort) & again this week leading up to this match. Richmond by how many.
Say you're sorry & why & then move on. Support Carlton.

It has been done to us so many times over the last few years. A few times this year. Been waiting to finally do it back to another team.
Smart move under the circumstances. Because they would have been the fresher team and we need to save energy and waste minutes. Would have worked even better if we didn't gift them all them goals in the second.

Great Tactics by MM to replace Brock Mclean with Nick Duigan . Brilliant move . It exposed the Tigers
If you think this was not deliberate you are mistaken

Gee, I thought it would be harder to win from nineth. Maybe it's only Richmond who can't do it.

Just back from the G.

Now that was something special.

Managed to survive without getting my head knocked off. Gave them curry too.

Haven't enjoyed a final like this since 1999.

Don't get this rush behind free that Mitch gave away. 1 metre out from the goal line, heaps of players around, that's under pressure in my eyes...
If the score were level and there was only seconds left in the match and Ivan Maric punches the ball out of a ruck contest on the full through for a point is it a free kick to us or does the point stand...

I didn't want to play finals on the back of Essendon*, but when we got there I had a change of heart and really enjoyed the day.

Now it's only three more wins and we'll be Premiers! Go Blues!

Anyone questioning MM's coaching should now admit they were wrong.

This is an average list with lots of deficiencies and also lots of injuries at the moment yet we still find a way to win.

We are developing a hard edged defensive style that will benefit us into the future not to mention a winning mentality.

Putting us later and later in the draft though.
