Seems light. Did he get reduced points for 'apologising'?

That was after having a poor history.

Oh well, suspended for the last game of this year, slapped with a two year ban by ASADA before Rd 1 2014.

He's retiring this year ain't he? Would be good to have him in a coaching role

Still guttered to have lost.

Is it simple to say they kicked astray? No, they could have gone again. When they account for each other and give a shit, they wouldn't play like millionaires. Speak up fellas, it's so much easier to agree behind their backs and stay silent in front. SAY SOMETHING!

Could be just what we need. TV reports he made the most tackles in (recorded) footy history (not that that's everything, but yes, he was a solid performer).

HTFU part 1!

He does not want to coach and will go into a player management role.

Still can't believe we lost to these cheating c^&ts twice this year in the manner we did.

In hindsight, as gutted as I am by the result, glad I can see coaching for long term benefit. Went out at half time, thinking for us to win Waite had to be moved off Hurley, and Gibbs off Watson.

From what I understand, neither occurred. Waite forward isn't the long term answer. I assume it's only a matter of time before we recruit a backman or a fit Watson supercedes him down there too.

We played Gibbs in the midfield, it didn't work out. Beats him beating the Spider Ricos of the competition down back every week.

We're better off for both in the long run.

@#$%&! Essendon*****.

That's true actually was thinking during the 3rd qtr that it looked like Waite was sooking at having to play back on Hurley but was glad that the swap wasn't made.

Hendo will hold us up front & might be time for Waite to retire this year, I'd rather get smacked playing a kid who can grow into the role than lose playing a 30 yr old next year.

Two of the more baffling decisions in recent times include:

- Waite being offered a 3 year contract; and
- Waite being included in the leadership group

He needs to be moved on quickly

The club realised 2 years too late that he was never going to be the answer in relation to a KPF

Any chance we can go back to 09 and take Talia instead of Lucas!

Is this the 3rd year of that Waite deal of have is there another year left, I can't remember?

I'm actually beginning to think we aint going to win a flag as long as we have a no.1 pick running around in the side. We cut corners pretty much to get those guys, yeah we were rubbish during that period but I've always felt we traded away a bit of our soul to get the picks. You win or lose with the cattle you have and I think we were trying to be too smart around then.

Too smart? More like too smug and not smart enough. We were going to have lowish picks anyway but we weren't clever with them and thought they were gong to be enough. Love or loath the Judd trade, he was part of that, too.

I think you're all being very hard on the players.

They are obviously working very hard to be mediocre in every respect. I think their achievements in this regard speak for themselves.

I have never seen a group who just accepts what the game throws at them to the extent that this group does, instead of wrestling with momentum and bending it to their will. If the game flows our way, great - they do all the right things and kid themselves about how tough they are. If it goes pear shaped, oh well, it just wasn't our week, time to move on.

I would be paying Jude Bolton $600k plus to get down here and give this group some mental fortitude. He built a career on attitude and effort being non-negotiable week in week out.

Make no mistake; we took on Essendon*'s burden for them - that's the sort of thing we do! It wasn't the fear of losing a big game ourselves as much as knowing that one club was supposed to capitulate and not being able to get 'our' head around an unusual circumstance.

Heard an interesting stat. Top 4 teams on the ladder are in the top 5 for accuracy for the year.

Obviously our goalkicking cost us a win on the weekend, as it has on a number of occasions this year and in previous years. Wonder where we're ranked overall this year in this area?

Obviously it helps if you've got lots of skilled players. But given the difference it makes in close games, would seem to be an obvious area to pour a whole lot of effort into over preseason.

Is he going to make a video on Bomber TV saying that whilst he is totally innocent of all charges he had to cop a week for the good of the club/competition?
