BS you might not understand that a lot of midfielders prefer the ruck drop it at their feet.

SOme rucks like NN hit it beyond the inner circle...allowing their teammate to push their opponent IN towards the contest.

There are so many centre square nuances you lot don't seem to understand.

Whether the ruck can hit it at certain points on the clock, whether the midfielder likes it in space or dropped at the rucks feet.

Didn't matter where he tapped it, he tapped it to richmond players most of the time, even when he did punch it clear it went straight to Richmond players.

He gets plenty of taps, but he has negative control, it always goes where our players aren't!

Yet we won the clearances 45 to 35, centre square 14-12, around the ground/throw in 31 to 23

Strange that!

All despite having Warnock as first ruck....

So did I .....he continually got the tap; and if our players can't take advantage of that; it's not his fault.

They can't do much when he continually gets the tap straight to Richmond players!

Reckon Bootsma and McInnes can't play in the same side and it's going to be an interesting issue to resolve over the next couple of years..

The Casboult v Rowe discussion has shat me to tears. Casboult can take a pack mark - he is a genuine KPP (who has many things to learn) v Rowe who is a tall lead-up type. Both aren't very good when it hits the ground. Casboult's second efforts are very good.

But Casboult can make a 50/50 situation a Carlton goal from a big pack mark, Rowe cannot. Great game from Casboult and he should be kept in the 1's.

His seconds form has been very good too - good attitude.

Good effort by the bLues. I was a critic of McLean but he just keeps running and has great hands and footy smarts. Persevere with Levi. He is 3-4 yrs away but is the only guy we have who can take a genuine big contested pack mark. Hendo, captain material. Tuohy reminds me of Harmes. Would like to see him midfield next year. Curnow has definitely improved this year and also has good leadership. I suspect the Tiges will be a one final wonder. Good win and we should take care of the Dons next week, they are falling away badly, so some brightness at the end of a disappointing season

Robbo got us going today with his hardness, and also showed some good decision making. If he gives us that 80% of games, he will have a v good career.

Gibbs and McLean, take a bow. Couldn't have done it without Scotland either. Sack him though eh?

They must play Casboult, Menzel, Bell , Graham.....Tuohy is a star, Curnow has progressed leaps & bounds.....Gibbs was sensational, play him in the midfield. Walker has to be played up forward.

..agree that our midfield set-ups haven't been kind to the tapwork, of any ruck we've played.. ..Knockers' tapwork i still think should be better considering his height advantage, but poor mids at stoppages aren't helping.. ..but at one point tigers had triple the hitouts to adv. than we did, and i think that was before 1/2 too.. ..Knockers' biggest problem however, is when he's not rucking he offers very little, and when rucking after the tap he doesn't do much either side of the 'arcs', part fitness but he lacks sustained intensity and doesn't push hard enough fwd or back..

..i think we're seeing the future, in glimpses but some things we can take to the bank.. ..Hendo is gonna be our prime KPF, great work ethic, sensational contested marking, accurate field kicking and goal kicking.. ..built for MM style as well.. ..McLean will continue to be the 'unsung hero' with our faster, more flashier mids but you know he'll take over from Judd to be our 'big game' mid.. .... ..Yarran has serious 'demons' to axorcise, if he ever wants to harness all of his potential, because he's far too slack by half in the way he goes about his footy..

Bit early in their careers to say that. On what basis?

Scotland improved after qtr time, like everyone. Although he has put a few good games together over the last month, I suppose we need to decide when do we groom someone to replace him. He is 33yo, and there is no doubt that this season has seen a decline. I also think that despite his beautiful kicking technique, his disposal effectiveness over the season has been disappointing.

Other than Heath, At the moment, our only small back is touhy. The only player i can see replacing heath at the moment is okeefe. This is a real worry I reckon. We need another person who can defend but also find the ball and provide rebound.

Is it better to keep Scotland playing or give a younger okeefe a go to see if he can manage it.

Anyways, just an issue I see on the horizon.

Very confused by the Holding the Ball rule in this game..... a few instances of players being grabbed straight away & not pretending well enough to try to handball it v. a few who were given a full 360degree spin / tackle and still no call...

Good to see some short kicking come back into our game.

Don't need the extra back flanker. Bootsma out Lucas in next week.

Hi Club - though Levi played the game out well and made valuable contribution to the win...
