Mostly tongue in cheek but I would have no issue if the outs I mentioned were dropped. Tired of players doing just enough each week to hold a spot.

Also, what's winning got to do with it?

Is it our best line up?

Did we play as well as we should?

Did everyone contribute?

Is it our best line up to beat Freo at Etihad?

Garlett has 10 goals from his last 7 games including a bag of 4. How damaging was Scotland and how has he played against better opposition this year that don't allow him to play loose??

Too many players in our side that don't do enough or hurt the opposition.

It's that acceptance of mediocrity that has us in the position we are in.

Our efficiency is bad enough as it is. Imagine how it is going to look against freo. For all the time we have the ball it doesn't amount to much on the scoreboard. I doubt we will score a goal.

Freo by 2 goals.

played 10 games at home so far for 9-1 record
7 away for 3-3-1 wins against crows suns and doggies
only played in vic 3 times for 2 losses and 1win record
only 2 wins against top 8 sides Richmond and Collingwood both at home

Still a better side at home than away and still have a few big outs

They are gettable very gettable

4 in a row can we do it - Go Blues

One thing that might help is that the Dockers are certainly not on the same supplement programs as others.

Their mids can be tackled which is a welcome change.

Christ even the Suns had massive rigs.

It just can't be the Bummers on something dodgy.

Agree, we are a good chance to get them.
My only problem is every time we get to a watershed game and this is one of them we fall over.

I rate our chances as 50/50. This game could go either way for the following reasons:

If we Win, it is because:

** Freo is a different side when it travels. History tells you that they do not like playing in Melbourne. Richmond beat them easily, so should we

** They are missing their firepower in Pavlich and Ballyentine. They got no one to kick their goals. You can't expect a midfielder to kick 4 goals again to win them the game.

** We have beaten them well in Melbourne in previous years

** Our season is on the line. We must continue playing do or die football

If we Lose, it is because:

** Freo is a top 8 side, and to date, we have not been able to compete with any top 8 Sides.

** We will be making history if we are to upset the Dockers, because as long as my memory can take me, We have never been able to win 4 games in a row. Have always failed at our fourth attempt in previous years. Will we finally break this hoodoo?

Ross expects Ballantyne back next week.

Dodo, we've done the 4 in a row a couple of times, but it's the 5th that has got us.

Interestingly Freo beat Adelaide last night with a record low of fwd 50 entries (33) since that stat has been collated.

No McPharlin and no Pav and Sandi is hardly tearing it up.

Full 7 day break.

Should be our best chance to beat them.

Agree Cimm. Last 6 weeks have been nothing special. Duffield and Ibbotson are another two who aren't playing like they were earlier in the year.

Really need to put some time into Hill. Fyfe is always a difficult match-up due to his ability in the air. Lack of key forward is hurting them. Majority of goals have come from Walters and Mayne.

Massive chance. I dont over-rate us, but reckon at our best we can realistically beat anyone bar Geelong, Hawthorn and Sydney.

Watto will probably get Hannath, otherwise no clear matchup.
