Robinson straight in you'd imagine. He looked mighty fine on the weekend for Northern.

Cannot see why Cachia would be dropped - on form Carrots and Scotto are more due for a stint in the Twos

I read somewhere that he got reported and the tribunal is tonight.
If he is cleared then i am sure he will come back in.
Not sure what the report was for.

If it's the incident I'm thinking of... bumped a guy front on... similar to Bartel for which he got a week

I thought 1-2 weeks then and there... we'll see

..we play a very, very accountable midfield these days.. ..lately, Gazza and others such a prestia and O'Meara have been given some latitude, and they won't be given the same amount of freedom as the pies gave them.. .... ..and they're playing a skinny [talented] ruck, and Krooz is a more physical sort than he's used too lately, and also a much fitter ruck.. ..Hendo will get the same amount of opportunities are powerful KPFs get vs the suns, he's a good kick and should kick at least 4.. ..small fwds should also run amok deep fwd for us as well.. ..i think we should beat them if we play 4 quarter football, which we're also getting better at..

Simply every game from here is an elimination final. So I hope they treat the opponent with the respect and endeavour a win-or-die match deserves.

We probably won't win every game. But we have the capability to, that's for sure.

If we make finals it's looking more likely that we'll come up against the Pies in Week 1.

Accountable midfield ... really? We were shot to pieces by Norths midfield.

..accountable yes, you can still be accountable, and just get outplayed/beaten in the contest.. .... ..in regards to being an all-out attacking, running fwd of the ball at every contest type of midfield [such as the roos], no we are not.. ..we have a couple of players that will at times run fwd too early, yes.. ..but by and large we are more accountable.. ..you can see this in the very defensive midfield set-ups we're running more often these weeks..

..our midfield is also running a tired and sore judd, an underdone carrots, and injury hampered murphy.. ..curnow and cachia arent exactly seasoned afl midfielders either, and mclean is good within the contest and gives good spread but doesnt have the speed to apply defensive pressure even though he will chase manfully.. ..and gibbs seems to be given a more in and under role as well [further 'training'?].. ..we're not playing our loose run and gun midfield that was exciting but also unreliable..

Our midfield is now performing as badly as it has done at anytime in the last 4 years. I certainly would not call them accountable ... loose would be a more appropriate description.

I wonder where our midfield would be rated in the league ... probably around 12, 13th.

..you misunderstood what i said.. ..they are being accountable, they're also being beaten at times in the contest.. ..just because a midfield gets beaten, doesnt automatically mean that midfield is loose and unaccountable.. ..just means they are beaten, then you look into the reasons why.. ..if anything we are too defensive in the middle, whereas before we were too unaccountable..

Ok .. well we are talking semantics here ... to my way of thinking ... if you allow your opposition to dominate ... are not responsible for how your opponent plays ... then that is not accountable. I don't believe we attack or defend very well in the midfield. We try to be defensive but we are just not good at it. I am yet to be convinced of the effectiveness of players like Cachia or Curnow. Cachia or Curnow have done nothing wrong ... they do ok ... but that does not mean we can't improve on them. We need to give young Graham a chance.

If our midfield is rated below a lot of other teams then we need change. We should start this week.

..carrying underdone mids at times this season is just as much at all.. ..it leaves too much work for the others, which can and does begin to take accumulated effect.. ..we should also realise that Curnow is still a rookie, and Cachia ditto.. ..Curnow has more afl experience, but not truckloads and cachia has very little senior experience.. ..these two are possibly racking up prime mid time in the middle, and are given big roles/responsibility.. ..with an underdone/sore supporting cast of seasoned mids to help, it's a midfield brigade that is up against it.. ..midfield set-ups aren't too sharp either, and are heavily defensive focused..
