Coaches probably think last week was a misfire after a tough month so are giving the players a chance to redeem themselves.

I think you might be right with this. Even though we have lost games and have not always played particularly well, last week was the first real "shocker" of the season. Thinking back, we were almost suspiciously bad last week - it is still hard to explain nearly a week on. I can't see us being that bad again and am looking forward to seeing how we respond.

So who's that leave forward????

Either way we only have one tall fwd. Which doesn't work.

Milne will kick 5
Reiwoldt 4

and we'll be a laughing stock

From what I can see, this side's been selected with the stench of redemption in the air. For such a capitulation last week that required a public apology from MM, I guess he and the MC might think it beneficial for morale moving forward to let that same list (minus necessary changes) to front up and do the job they didn't do last week. Could be a byproduct of a Leading Teams meeting through the week for all we know.

If they're good enough and they want it enough, they'll win. Simple as that.

Are we on the Leading Teams train this year..?

You may need to read up on dislocated kneecaps before you make that accusation.

thanks doc - but they didn't they bring him back too soon and he did it again.?

but "accusation" - bit harsh - more like "suggestion"

aw gawd - that's 8 for

That'd be $1.60 with me. By far the biggest joke is Mitch playing with bung shoulder. He pulled out of a contest last week and it was obvious he shouldn't have played. Why not play Graham or Menzel ??? :screwy: :screwy: :screwy:

$3.25 for 'Ainters is big overs but I'll keep the cue in the rack. Losing 5 on the trot maybe a tad of a stretch even though it all points to the Aints winning.

Amazing isn't it. Mitch for sure should be rested. The selection I can't believe is leaving Menzel out. Our return from our small fwds has been terrible. After 5 mins last Fri how many did we get? 2 goals maybe. Betts very lucky.

Team of midgets again. Time and time and time again we get opposition drowing our backline with talls while we drown our forward line with smalls....fmd - I'm over it. Refuse to give ourselves any chance of taking a contested Mark up forward. Perfect opportunity to stretch the StKilda backline and instead our defenders will be stretched again.

Tough going at the moment. To make it worse, we're 9/124 in the Old Dart, Cadel is 6min+ behind Froome, The Lions smashed the Wallabies and Murray won Wimbledon. :banghead: :banghead:

He played 3 great games before he got another knock on it, so I'm not sure he was brought back too soon. Just had bad luck.

....hmmmm.. ..hoping 2 talls out, 1 in is part of some reshuffling/positioning of players.. ..cos we don't have a full-time KPF at all if it's Krooz as 1st ruck and resting fwd, and Rowe as a KPF but also backup ruck.. ..far too much a workload for them both, and i doubt Rowe is fit enough to play a full game of the hard working fulltime KPF sort, and definitely will be stuffed if he has to be KPF and put in ruck time.. ..and Krooz carrying the ruck will be worn out when resting fwd.. ..you'd think either Hendo [hopefully] will be the main KPF, or Walker is played fulltime fwd.. ..hoping we rotate overhead marking onballers fwd.. ..lucas, gibbs, mclean come to mind..

I am suggesting we will lose this across half forward.
They will float Fisher or someone to mark everything as per usual and we will watch them run it out of defence though the corridor.
It is something we are vulnerable to most weeks but this week it seems more so.

I hope Walker is played forward so we have a second marking option.

We can only hope Reiwoldt is under-done and Milne wants to hide in a corner but I doubt it.

I hate losing. We and GWS are the only teams with no wins in the last five weeks. That isn't a good look for us. Time to pull out everything and win against a team that has owned us for the best part of ten years.

Has anyone bothered to look at our emergencies ?
Reckon Watson will come in for Armfield.

Lost opportunity.
Playing injured players and blokes who are not up to it.
Give the kids an opprtunity Mick! Graham, Menzel, Buckley.
See if youth can invigorate the side.

I understand Rowe. Hopefully he can play back to release Hendo forward but blokes like Robbo are obviously playing sore. If he's not fit enough to play midfield. Bring in a kid who can.

Fisher is not playing :donk:

I am thinking Walker will play forward and Yarran off half back....

Surely the three amigos are on their last chance. A month(less for Yaz) of being liabilities calls for omittance of at least one possibly 2 of them. Especially when we have kids showing something in the reserves.
We went in last week with underdone players and it killed us. Hard to believe its only Waite that succumb to a week or so off. If Robbo, Betts, Carazzo, Scotland or Murph have stinkers the Selection committee needs to be held accountable.

..3 amigo's are way off form, was it something like 2 tackles out of the three of them in the fwd 50? vs pois.. ..the problem was, once waite went down we had no CHF.. ..Bolt isn't fit enough to play KPF -and- backup ruck.. ..it's a huge workload, especially when your KPF duties switch from 2nd target to main [and only] target.. ..and then, when you switch you have Krooz playing the 1 and only KPF role, after carrying the majority of the ruckload... ..the fact he managed it, took 5 marks 4 of which were contested, and kicked 2.1 shows his worth.. ..but again it's too big a workload, and too unsettling to team dynamics..

..the problem with this line-up, is we can't play Rowe down back to release Hendo fwd, cos Rowe will be doing backup ruck duties.. ..we can still play Hendo fwd mind you, or Walker fwd to play a 'tall' lead-up role.. ..though out of the two options i'd like to play Hendo all game at CHF.. ..Jamo can take the deep kpf, and have Walker take the kpf that roams up the ground, if he concedes marks on the wing it's not as bad as deep marks in our fwd 50.. ..but i reckon with a player like Roo, i'd have Walker play on him more than Jamo.. ..unless it's a 'wrestle', Walker is possibly the only guy on our list capable of matching Roo's fitness, and Walker does have a bit of mongrel and Roo isn't so keen on the rough stuff.. ..and in the air i think Walker's leap can nullify Roo's extra height..

..and Lucas ought to play across half fwd, he will run all day, present all day, and work all game as that link-up target.. ..in a similar way i'd play Gibbs between middle and half fwd.. ..will need his playmaking fwd of center and i think around the fwd 50 arc he'd be just as dangerous kicking goals himself as setting up goals..
