It's Wednesday and the collective shock of hearing the list is shizen, our memberships numbers are augmented and a truly putrid display against the Pies has subsided somewhat and things are becoming a bit clearer. It doesn't really matter if you believe (like I do) MM has made a complete hash of the season so far or you think he's just helping us realise just what a diabolical state we are in and all this is beyond his control, or both, what matters now is what happens next.

I am curious as to what people think will happen next. Despite my recent insanity I’m quite bullish about our future, even with ol’ powder balls in his twilight years. He does need some quality assistants, a functioning footy dept and better luck (or judgement) at the recruiting and trading tables, but he can’t have forgotten everything.

All these things are achievable but not guaranteed and certainly a stretch if we base it on the last 10 or more years. If he doesn’t get it we are toast, but I’m an optimist and reckon it will happen BECAUSE THERE’S NO OTHER OPTION. The coach, the CEO and one of our biggest sugar daddy’s have basically said our list is puss. The sugar daddy has also questioned the clubs management in broader terms and not just recruiting and but has backed MM.

So a bit of closest to the pin for the balance of 2013 for anyone who want to play.

This week: Win well. (put your slippers on Synbad its a lock)
Rest of the season: win 6 of the last 8
DELIST AND RETIREMENTS: 10
Final position: 10th
Will we trade for the number one pick?: NO
Players we will target: 1 genuine KPP and balance of mids.
Assistant coaches moved on or leave: 4
Recruitment staff change: In x 2 Out x 1.
Other appointments: New fitness manager and the appointment of a list manger.

Will win max 4, I am guessing mc won't load up with kids yet as he will be desperate to finish 9th and sneak in once bombers lose points

I on the other hand would play menzel graham Mitchell Buckley and Watson in every game for rest of year

i think malthouse will be vindicated in his desire to get the funds to rebuild the club
its promised this year... hes shown how bad alot of our departments are funded and run by this board

you can bet your bottom dollar

with 2 more years to go in the contract
our 150th coming up
the board will have to "philanthropy is fun " in preperation for 2014

its an understatment to say the word out of princes park is mick cant believe our set up... and he told them!!!

Yeah, but I think we already have 5 threads about what's gone on and who's fault it is.

Reckon there'll be a massive cleanout both at management level and to the list, but it'll be a knee jerk reaction rather than due to the actual realisation that it's a necessity.

Probably should sack the bloke at the Carlton Shop too...too damn positive in light of reality.

Knee jerk reaction ?
You saying we don't really need a clean out ?
'Radical Changes' were planned even before last Friday night's embaressment.
That's no knee jerk reaction.
Just reality!!

Carlton is the Shane Watson of the AFL so keep watching while we make a few nice scores of 30 along the way without converting to a big scorebut when the real heat is on like start of ashes series we will fold :banghead:

I'm in agreeance with you. My comment is alluding more to the fact that some of these changes (upper level especially) will come reluctantly and as a byproduct of uproar rather than an actual understanding from those in charge that these changes MUST happen. The Club has had (for the most part) a rigid maintaining of the status quo for ages (oh flower here comes Synners...).

Change has to happen, I'm merely commenting on the cognisance of those in charge as to why these changes are being made...
