Bloody hell, it's 2003 all over again.

Pagan was the messiah, a premiership coach who was headhunted after an injury riddled 2002. But his hands were tied. The club had no leadership. Players were downhill skiers. The new game plan of Pagan's paddock didn't work. The list had to be overhauled. Massive clean out. Retreads injected in 2004 to give us a false dawn.

We're [REDACTED]!

Yet you're the one making the derogatory remarks? The quicker you [REDACTED] off, the better we'd all be.

He does make some excellent points though. MM and the club shifting the goalposts on expectations.
Tend to agree. The problems with the list were already evident last year but we chose not to do anything. Few of the fringe guys were contracted but that doesn't stop you from trading and cap space is only a problem if we planned on taking on more salary than we sent out. Instead we've wasted a season (and a fair chunk of cash) so Mick can assess the list and install a new game plan which is no more effective than the last one.

Most of those that we'll delist this year were contracted last year....think Davies, Joseph, Watson, etc, etc. nobody would have wanted them in a trade, and if we delisted them the salary falls under the cap. Don't tell me MM's hands weren't tied.
I'm not talking about trading duds nobody wants and delisting them all last year wasn't really viable regardless of contracts considering the draft was only 3 rounds deep. For example there was nothing stopping us from trading a ruckman we don't need last year for a pick. Would've freed up cap space giving us more options and got another kid on the list but we chose not to.

Except that we didn't get any reasonable offers. You can't force trades with other clubs.

Why would there be any pain and anger? While MM is fielding the ire of the members and the jeers of the football world, this is what Murph (and Gibbsy) were up to Saturday night:

Would that make me a legitimate supporter?

How many times would I have to visit to be qualified to comment on the club?

Do they issue tokens for every time you visit? Are there Visy Miles?

But yes, I have been there.

What's a reasonable offer for someone we don't need and whose value won't be improved by waiting? Regardless it was just an example. Plug in any player you want but the general point remains. There was nothing stopping us from trading and creating cap space except our willingness and/or ability to make a deal.

We need a restructure in the club.
Mick isn't lying.
Problem is the surgery we need to do to our list is also required everywhere.
Ten half back flankers just means six guys are useless to a list....

Sorry you had to find out like this.
Midfield needs a booster shot.
One extra tall that can play.
Lose a ruck or two.

Probably three to four from challenging if we do everything right.
