Thought the same. A bigger mistake than appointing Murph would be to keep him in the role. Take it off him over the summer. Finals gone so no point now.

I don't believe we have any leadership concerns at all. We haven't got any leadership to be concerned about.

True, and this is why Carrazzo or Simmo should have been appointed until someone younger and better comes along. Murphy is no leader and I'm not basing this on last night, he doesn't seem to have the ability to inspire the players verbally, before and during the game. Not sure what he is like off field behind closed doors but communication doesn't seem to be his strong point. He is a great player but not a leader like Hodge, Watson, Maxwell etc


Good post.

Good communication and inspiration are required from a leader. Sometimes the two go hand-in-hand of course. As an outsider looking in, Murph doesn't seem to have great communication skills. He also looks too much like a little boy. :eek:

maybe an independent review can delve into this as well.....

why cant we find any leaders??

is it because the top is not honest.. flaky and looks at cutting corners so on field is a mirrior???

Do we need an independent review in what were doing ???

Chose not to run for any leadership roles to concentrate on his own football/body. Would have likely got the job as was in MM's preferred candidates.

Yes ..... should have been. Murph great guy but should tell them that next year he wants to concentrate on his football and opt out.
