You've got no idea how Mick works.

When Micks angry and extremely tense and on edge you know his boys are up for the fight.

He loves intensity. He thrives on pressure. When Mick comes out firing you know his team will come out with the same intensity

I swear some of you are embarrassing and I honestly believe you'd rather see the club fail so you can get on here and and drown out your sorrows and even say I told you so.

We've only played 12 games under Mick and I think we are already a much better side than under Ratten.

You can physically see a game style. Structures and the players are now starting to believe.

Unfortunately for Mick, this list lacks a bit of polish and a decent forward. THAT'S NOT HIS FAULT

Mick will try his darn hardest to find the right players to fill in th gaps. Dale Thomas could be one, he offers class on the outside that we are acting. Imagine murph and Thomas delivering the ball to our forwards.

I thought it was fairly obvious.

You hold up "pure truth" as an ideal but hide your posting history behind a series of name changes.

Seems a little hypocritical no?

And as for accusing others of sniping...you've started a thread virtually asking for people to take potshots and then had a crack at all and sundry when they've given you exactly what you asked for.

Mick's doing some good things at the club and so far I'm encouraged but that's not what this thread was ever about.

This thread was about you.

Otherwise it wouldn't have needed a new thread. Could have fitted into a number of others really.

Well done.

Got your wish.

Same old MO.

Quite tiresome really.

What a load of shit.

Why don't you guys just stop sledging MM and second guessing as to who likes him and who doesn't and concentrate back on the footy. Theres half a season ahead of us.

If you dont think MM is a respected coach in the media you should just forget about footy because all you are is a sludgemeister.

We have enough flower opposition supporters having a go at our club, let alone umpires, so if you're a Carlton supporter then just start concentrating on that...ie Carlton playing footy or !@#$%& off.

There's a big exciting IF of us and that is IF we beat the Swans we have a great opportunity to win the next 9 in a row. That's a seriously big possibility. That's what we should be looking forward to not shitting ourselves about what opposition think of us....we are winning respect...bit by bit.

We were supposed to be slaughtered last week against Hawks and in fact we should've won. Everyone in the footy world saw us lose the opportunity because of shit umpiring and lost opportunities...only a couple...and we would've won....everyone knows that and that we're not that far...they are shitting about our resurgence.

We're a better team than last year. MM has done good things, now lets cross our fingers and hope for 9 in a row and hopefully 10 with an unlikely Swans win in Sydney: we're not that far off the pace. Then when we get our opportunity against Collingwood, Essendon* and Freo all in Melbourne we might win all those..and if theose teams lose 1-2 more than that which is likely (having to face Cats, Hawks and Swans, we may end up higher on the ladder.

For those writing us off....just remember we're at the half way with 10 games to go.

Come September and dry fast tracks are the norm we will still have the fastses team going around and our game plan and team would have been settled.

I believe something special is building and we have to win a flag whilst Juddy is still playing (and hopefully Scotto and Simmo). We will get some BIG recruits next year, but this year aint over.

In MM we have to trust. Now cross your fingers and start with some positive chants.....

Happy to wait for a year or two to make a judgement call on Mick as a coach.

I think we need to show faith in him, he is proven and dare I say it, he is ruthless. Which is what our playing list needs right now! He's the best man for the job post Ratten and were stuck with him. So might as well get behind him!!

A a person though?????........ Can't stand the prick!

I would hope so Bondi, considering we were decimated by injury last year.
What about 2011 when we had a reasonably healthy list. Are we a better team than we were then? Lets compare apples with apples.

Personally I dont think so but I would expect we're still coming to terms with new coaches, structure etc. I would however expect to see some obvious improvement in the next month or so.
I think our stoppage work is substantially better than it was earlier this year and our kickins are better structured than they have been for several years. Conversely, I think our defending of kickins is poor.

When I continually read how posters say we are a better team now, what measurement are they using to quantify that? Is it actual or is it people trying to justify the decision?
As I said, I dont think theres been any obvious improvement but I'm still content to give the coaching group time to get it right. I just think we need to be honest in our appraisals.
Posting comments about Malthouse being "God like" adds little to the debate IMHO.

I'd suggest we'll be in a much better position to assess our improvement or lack of it in a months time.

..2011 season overall was very uncompetitive for the actual comp.,.. ..there was a clear inbalance in regards to teams' quality, with a huge divide between the good teams and the rest of the competition.. ..we finished 5th, but were 2.5 games clear of 4th and still had yet to bridge the gap between our best and worst performances..

..and for 2011 we never beat anyone above us and were competitive in some games we lost, but in others were well off the pace of comp. leaders.. ..this season we've been right in every game, even the ones where we performed poorly.. ..in 2011 we'd have dropped away and been well beaten.. ..this year we also havent beaten anyone above us [now], but we've been far more competitive..

..and we have a system, and a process.. ..we have a gameplan, and are not purely reliant upon individual brilliance..

..hey, Mick was right..

It was funny on so many different levels. But our current coach was caught red handed telling fibs. Not sure how he thought he was going to get away with that one. Hopefully he thinks a bit more clearly these days...... although if last Friday nights dummy spit was anything to go by there has to be doubts.

..i reckon he won plenty of fans on that night, even after with the lieing, i still think Mick is ahead for calling tiprat what he did, right to his face in front of everyone.. ..and it's also after tiprat had called licuria a 'toggaf', MM wont let anyone push around his team..

I don't give a shit if he's a liar (re: Milne).

As long as the guy can coach.

And why shoudn't he stick it up the umpires?

It was no secret how [REDACTED] over we were. Every commentator mentioned it and the second half stats proved it.

The man can coach premierships and has proven this.
The dropping of one player for sulking should have not caused us to lose and thats exactly what his point is. CFC is bigger than a individual, players come and go.
As for MM having a shot at the umpires for their performance name 1 commentator, 1 support of any other team that felt the umpiring was fair and reasonable on Friday? At least MM will stand up for our players and cope a punishment for it cant remember ratten doing that.
I believe out team has improved in its intensity, Curnow, Tuohy, Armfield and even Gibbs have lifted and improved with Malthouse.
Saw see snippets of why Casboult is highly rated amongst many and can see MM playing him remainder of year out.
MM as a person I dont know and really dont care to know about all that I care about is his ability to get this team to a higher level. I think with a couple of class ball users he is gonna be able to do that.

Rubbish as usual from GWS

My desire to change names is simply because I wanted a fresh start at TC, which is a right anyone can have

But because of pathetic people such a yourself who spend way too much time here and feel they HAVE to stick their nose in other peoples business and reveal name changes, you ruin it for people like me who simpy wanted a fresh start - no crime in that surely

Christ hasn't it ever occurred to you the reason I change my name so often is because idiots like you make it impossible for me to have a fresh start???

There are people such as yourself who are just too close to TC and the online CFC community and you feel compelled to interfere

Anyhow, I still maintain my name changing, which as explained was simply due to wanting a fresh start at a different forum, has nothing to do with the MM debate. You're drawing a seriously long bow there GWS

But I guess it's your job to snipe and reveal people's identities even when it's nine of your @#$%&! business - quite tiresome really !!
