46,478 - creeping up slowly (we will struggle to get to 47 with the 3 game membership inclusive of a reserved seat for this weeks' home game only)

I need advice please.
I just spoke to the club regarding my captains club concession membership. When I purchased my membership in feb I was a full time student and had every intention of completing the year. A couple of weeks back I was offered an unexpected position at a company that was too good to pass up. My concession card for this semester has now expired and I am moving into fulltime work.
I spoke to rhiannon (I think) regarding changing my membership to a silver adult 17, which is a cost of $305. This is an upgrade on my $270 concession membership.
I was told that I had to cancel and pay full price for the silver adult, or my only other option was to upgrade to an adult captains club at an extra cost of $300ish. I explained that I couldn't afford these options and that I am desperate to remain as a member and that I'm still technically upgrading to a more expensive membership. I also asked "so you're more than willing to lose at least a couple of long term members over a minor issue of upgrading one membership? " to which she replied "I'm sorry sir but we can't help you".
I am a passionate 10 year member who has paid up right through the $hit times as are my family.
This has really peeved me.
This club would rather lose members than change membership types. No wonder we won't get 50k.
My family and I are all considering cancelling now and just paying for the odd time we want to watch our boys.
If anyone knows someone or some way that this could be resolved please speak up, its a disgrace.
Until then, so long CFC, its been a great ride but until this club can value and support its very loyal members, its goodbye from me.

Just keep going with your concession.

I'm not sure why you are peeved. If you're not a concession you have to pay the full price.
What did you expect?

I am trying to do the right thing and upgrade to an adult membership.
I have already paid $270 and I want to pay the extra $35 and upgrade to a silver adult 17. The club are telling me that I have to pay the full $305 in order to do this and I lose what I've already paid.

I don't think im being at all unreasonable. Do you?

No that makes more sense now.
Its probably due to them being different membership types.
I'd keep going on the concession. Does the card read expired?

The card has an expiry date on it. Which has passed!
I just dont understand why they would rather lose members than resolve a minor issue in which I'm happy to pay more money to the club. Makes no sense.

Plus I don't want the hassle of being pulled up each week without concession id and having to stuff around buying other tickets.

Don't speak to one of the membership sales team - call the club and ask to be put through to Clinton Bown.

Cheers doc.
I spoke with clinton yesterday and he called today and told me he'd approved the change and that its on its way.
In the end it was very well handled, and I'm pleased with the outcome.
Credit where credit is due.

My only negative would be that for members who are not on a forum where help is just a click away, how would they know that these people are out there and where to find them? Club should let people know that these avenues are there. If it weren't for the doc I would've believed the sales team and been very upset.

Thanks again doc and clinton
