If we have 3 or 4 or 5 forced changes, don’t expect Simmo to get dropped.

I thought his last qtr was ok to be honest. Once again, I can’t work out if he plays well when we do, or of we play well because he does.

Imagine the meltdown on this forum if we lose.

They beat us last year so although we are 'expected' to win it means nothing to me anymore.

We won't be predictable that is for sure. 4 of our forward line last night will be replaced via injury or form. 2 of 3 helpers out.

Gibbs isn't due back until GWS, Murphy potentially out with a 'sore' foot, Ellard out. Jamo struggling with his shoulder.

I am actually tipping we might lose this one as well.

It's the Adelaide syndrome from 2012. I hope we win so I do go into a deeper football depression :-)

Good, i hope Murphy is rested so he can recover from whatever it is that he should rcover from , Gibbs and Yarren stay out this week so they to can recover, Eddie is suspended, Hope Waite suspends himself, Hope Jamo's get a month to rest his shoulder, and hope Kruiz gets a few more weeks to nurse his finger, spewing ellard did his hammy but pleased they will rest him for a month or so.. That should test us again... love these challenges

Denim I hate to be the bearer of bad news but we haven't passed a challenge for a long time now.
We beat melbourne
West Coast shot themselves in the foot and Adelaide have been worse than us all year.
The challenge is betting on which midfielder MM will start in the forward line and who he will find a new position for.

Agreed RB....I expect to loose the challenge on the scoreboard. .but the starting positions is exciting, love seeing who can make it and who needs to be delisted. love seeing how each player responds... that's why in a stupid narcissistic ridiculous kind of way im proud of Eddy for at least showing some physicality last night when as usual shitkilda was bashing the F^&^ out of us.

Our "depth" will be sorely tested this week.

By rights Yarran, Ellard, Carrazzo, Murphy, Jamison won't be playing.

Looks like we are going to have to do the dance this week.

After being asked to "put up or shut up", and despite not really thinking the 22 matters all that much....

We can afford to play two only two tall defenders. Jamo to Schultz. White on the resting ruck (Stewart). If Jamo doesn't get up, I'd try White on Schultz, and Bootsma as the second tall.

Play Gibbs on Westhoff knowing that Westhoff will drop back and try and exploit the lack of height in the backline, let Gibbs' disposal hurt them the other way.

Tuohy on Robbie Gray, Curnow to Neade, play Simpson head to head with Boak, Carrazzo to Hartlett. I expect Cornes will go to Murphy. Would like to see some time spent on Broadbent who tore us a new one last year (Armfield?).

Play Hampson high up the ground with a view to leaving Henderson one out with Carlisle. It's an inexperienced defence, they've played about half a dozen games together. See who's prepared to back themselves, and leave their man to go be third man up.

B Tuohy Jamison White
HB Bootsma Armfield Scotland
C Gibbs Murphy Simpson
HF Lucas Hampson Walker
F Garlett Henderson Rowe
R Warnock Judd Carrazzo
INT Curnow, Robinson, McLean, Cachia

In: Bootsma, Gibbs, Carrazzo, Rowe
Out: Yarran (inj), Betts (susp), Ellard (inj), Kreuzer

Don't play any injured, unfit, under done players.

Play 22 fit players and give them the challenge - there careers will be defined by what they produce this week.

Interesting that nearly everyone is advocating dropping Kruezer.

Yet, we know it wont happen!

Three ruckmen clearly has to go.

Malthouse has persevered this long with Hampson, and I don't see him willingly dropping him. Kreuzer looks out of touch and was probably a mistake for him not to find touch in the VFL.

Ergo, I reckon he's likely to go out.

I agree. I have ALWAYS said one Ruckman is the way to go.

However, I bet they will play Kruezer and maybe even Hampson.

In my opinion DU Eddy was worse than Waite. He was late and just an act of frustration.
At least Waite needed the final say unfortunately he used his head in the wrong manner. That’s what we need and Waite just needs to channel it better.
Personally I love Waites aggression, just his presentation needs refining but he does have to make up for most of the others.

it makes hard when the reality is that your number one pick isn't good enough to take the number one ruck spot nor good enough to go forward but at least they may have found a spot for him down back.. perhaps Kruiz at CHB can further result in truly versatile team where anyone can play anywhere.. we even saw last night that Eddy can play the intimidating role of a CHF :smoking:

Perhaps your right, I agree his was an act of frustration that most likely would not have occurred if others were more willing to impose themselves more physically on the game... but ill bet you that kid will rarely ever play well against the blues from here on in.. its a mind F&^%.

Was gonna suggest that Hendo is played fwd for the next month....as at least he's a "genuine" tall fwd unlike our makeshift fwd/rucks. But Jamo's shoulder makes that unlikely now

Henderson is at least on par with Adelaide's Lynch as a forward.

for me imo,
laidler jamison tuohy
scotland white walker
buckley carrazzo armfield
garlett henderson robinson
menzel casboult gibbs
warnock judd murphy
bell mclean watson sub; kreuzer

no chance of this happening but would love too see it.
waite, can head down to northern for being a flog, doesn't come in straight, club needs to tell him that!!
hampson, 2-5 from 6 games, northern for some form.
lucas, must learn to run the other way and tackle.
simpson, down hill skier, runs one way, zero touches in the third quarter, your not an automatic selection each week champ.
curnow, prob a little stiff, but bell deserves a go.
betts, out for 3.
yarran/ellard, injuries.
laidler, should be an automatic selection down back.
watson, games against port/lions/GWS, great opportunity to play some good footy and maybe cement a spot down back, take your chance.
bell, well overdue for a run, should get he's chance this week one would hope.
menzel, great few weeks to show case some of your skills.
buckley, still reckon he was a bit stiff when he got dropped, welcome back, no doubt will give 100%.
have said that,
watson, menzel, laidler, buckley will not get a game, malthouse will go with joseph, hampson, simpson, lucas and waite.
just like all of us, sick and tired of s&%^ efforts against average teams.
very angry after last nights effort, or lack of!!!
just letting of some steam
