MM has clearly shown that he wants players to be able to play multiple positions. It is why Laidler is in the 2's. Watson, Mitchell and McCarthy will never get a run (assuming the current players stay healthy) until they can play other positions. Plus Watson hates body contact, which is very clear for anybody who watches him play. His biggest asset in defence, his size, he will not use.

I think if you can play your position well, MM will be happy.
Cloke never played defence.
Pendlebury never played back pocket.
Didak never played defense.
Jamison will hopefully never play forward again.

If mitchell, Watson or McCarthy start dominating in their positions, he'll give them a run.

I still have nightmares about that Gold Coast game last year. Then there was that god awful game against GWS, the shocker against Port, the way they lairised in the second quarter against the Cows last week.

Gee, I hope MM puts the fear of dog into 'em one and all. They need to flog 'em from the first bounce, then keep the foot on the throat, that's what good sides do. No Jamar, no Watts, Rodan dropped, anything less than a 10 goal win will be unexceptable.

Nah, tell 'em to read the book, the movie watered down the ending

The phrase "winning by a cricket score" comes to mind.

Jesus christ...how does Hampson continue to get a game?

If I showed up to work each time and offered nothing, I'd be out the door quick smart. This bloke looks to have the game mastered - get by on doing bugger all, while earning good money.

How the other half live......

Rowe has one quiet game and likely goes out, a leading goal kicker in the SANFL in 2011....Hampson continually proves to be a liability week in, week out and is persisted with.

Absolute madness.

I suppose at least the on-field comedy routine of Melbourne footy club will be complemented by the comedy routine of Shaun Hampson.
I dont think JC reads TC force starters.

And Hampson did enough last week to get a game. His raw stats dont show the bullocking and taps on etc that help the

Might count how many 'falcons' he cops to the head trying to mark the ball.

We've done this before, but still not sure what the point of elevating someone from the rookie list if they're not actually going to play.

Rowe stiff to lose his spot, when Hammer doesn't.

I'd say Rowe is tired - just lacking fitness/comditioning

good game to rest him and give Hammer another (maybe final) chance
