As much as I love Robbo, it drives me crazy when he's kicking into the forward line sometimes. He seems to just kick it as hard as he can. Often our forward will be in front and he bangs it over their head so they have to back into their opponent. Not kicking to team mates advantage. He's not alone there but it really stands out when he does it

have a look at every game this round and last round and the one before and you'll see every team's midfielders go for territory every time when under pressure and no other option.
Robbo is at the coal face. He's not only an inside player he gets inside that areatoo and gets into the opposition's soul. He gets them, then gets the ball from places others fear to tread and he gets out of that situation with a disposal at hand. He has noone to pass it too, let alone time and space, and that's what happens.
The rest is perception.
Robbo is a machine, and yes we would all like him to handball it to a player in better position but noone's there: Judd tagged, Murphy tagged, Carrazzo tagging and Simmo's been so out of form he hasn't been in there....and he's getting a ball ahead of the oppositon who would be taking it away if he didn't do the stuff he does.
I understand that you're a fan...just the glass is half full plus some when talking about Robbo.
20 plus clearances against the Corws and we won by 5 goals 2.
I think you've got me wrong. I live Robbo and pretty much everything he does. One of my first picked every week. I was simply pointing out a slight flaw in his game. I understand when it's a quick kick out of a pack, but I still think there's occasions when he has a bit more time and still just kicks the ball as hard as he can. A big part of the reason our tall forwards are struggling is because we don't kick to advantage enough. I'm not talking about a speared pass to a lead, just kick it so the forward can protect the space
