We're soft
We're careless
We're stupid
Umpires hate us

He wasn't brought here for a rebuild. That's where we are heading.

Gutted.

We'll be 0-5 no problems.
Season shot already.
Ratts never had a 0-5 start.
Just saying.

Problem is the playing list and lack of development we can see that now.

Did we disproportionately blame Ratts?

This side peaked in 2011.

I never blamed Ratten.
I didn't want MM.

What does it say about our ability to control the ball and maintain possession?

Our ability to defend when we lose the ball, especially kickouts?

I didn't rate Ratten but he has changed aspects of Ratten's style that DID work.

That kick in at about 20 minute mark that resulted in Murdoch missing an easy goal summed it up for me- we do not have a defensive mindset AT ALL...... And that is the most embarrassing thing right now.
I love this club and have done for 45 years but right now...I just can't stand what's being dished up - we have the capacity to be better than this ....but this just hurts

Name your bottom six on paper going into each of our three matches.
Then name our worst six performed on the night.

There hasn't been much difference.

Too easy to score against us. Wouldn't be a problem if we had a power forward or two.

This is an episode of Millionaire Grandparents Who Think They're Still 30 And Try To Relive Their Youth Epic Fail Season 1.

It's very disappointing to say the least and terrible to harp on it but the umpiring has been absolutely ridiculous. Selwood cannot be touched, we can't fall to our knees whereas they can and apparently you can kick guys out of a marking contest without taking the mark.

Don't mean to single a few out but Jamison's defensive lapses in the second, Touhy literally regressing, Yarran's inaccuracy, Joseph simply not being up to it ... Buckley and Judd are the only ones who have shown an appetite for the contest.

Wont get to 45 K members now...... we are too dependant on a few players. Waite and Betts in and we would look better. Need to look at full rebuilt now.

I was happy to give Mick time to develop the team and his style.
But tonight the effort has been soft.Very soft. Its hard to watch soft footie.
Lucas is soft.Hampson is very big but very soft.Murphy is soft.Simmo is soft.Gibbs is soft.Yarran is soft.
We have a team of softies who dont have the courage to take us snywhere this year.
Play the kids and get active at the trade table.

We'll come good in time, just not sure when.

Mick will earn his money over the first part of this season, and we really do need to have a chat to Gieshen to get him to sit down with us to explain the umpiring and how we can make better use of their "interpretations".

Always thought that it would take a while to turn the boys around and get them playing consistently to a plan and for each other. They just aren't use to playing a hard/contested brand of footy under Mick. Just glad that we have been spared more drastic injury woes, as we are seemingly quite uncompetitive these first few weeks.

We must not allow ourselves to turn into rabid Tiger or Wood supporters, no matter how frustrating the early parts of this season are likely to be. Stick fat!!
