Former Carlton forward Brendan Fevola says he is certain the Blues did not try to win games late in 2007, as the AFL considers widening its tanking probe if new evidence emerges.

Melbourne, Carlton, COLLINGWOOD (everyone always loves to exclude them) West Coast, Richmond... all are guilty of tanking, will be interesting to see what happens.

Take that sensationalism with a grain of salt people:

"But no one ever said the word tanking. No one ever said we are going to deliberately lose. The AFL can't do anything until they find that evidence."

Read more: http://www.news.com.au/top-stories/bren ... z2Avmu4tmG

Melbourne's problem is that there was alleged deliberate discussions on tanking that players were involved with (at meetings, etc).

If they happened at Carlton, then Fevola is saying he (and players) certainly were not apart of them.

They're just ITCHING to bring us down with the Dees any way they can, no matter how flimsy the 'relationship'.

After-all, the Dees were run by Jimmy Stynes at the time, so no way could they sink lower than that pack of arseholes and criminals on Royal Pde.

I wonder if they will ever open an investigation into betting on games by players in a position to influence the outcome. I definitely have a vibe that hitting the post from 15 metres is a bit suss.

Actually, Fev is not correct. We did try to win.

We tried as hard as we bloody could to win draft picks.

A few off -field indiscretions doesn't deter from the fact that Fev is certainly no dummy when it comes to football. It's like saying Shane Warne has no credibility when it comes to cricket because of off-field indiscretions.

Just a stereotypical comment.

It's only a personal feeling he had. That's never going to be "hard" evidence thankfully. We didn't have the "planning" and subsequent player "revolts" Melbourne did to leave evidence behind for the AFL. We covered ourselves alot better.

We certainly tanked but proving it will be very hard, unlike at Melbourne.

We've been investigated and found not to have a case to answer.

Nice attempt by 'I'm Ralph', but all he's ending up doing is just rehashing the whole 'vibe' thing.
