I'd be interested to know how many here have read mick n buttifants book. Reason being it gives u a good insight into him. Anyone thinks kernahan will influence him is a fool. Mick may be about mick but he ain't a fool unlike pagan. He may not be a Carlton person but he is results driven n expect him to nurture what we have. He hasn't accepted this role without long thoughts about his legacy real or perceived

I know... the bloke hasn't even begun and it's already SAKC MALTHOUSE.

Maybe some people should just stop supporting AFL for a while, or find something to absorb some of the passion which is turning into hysterical negativity.

We just came out of a period of nepotism (some suggestion it hasn't ended yet), so I think much will rely on the quality of the playing list both physical and in between the ears and less about the prowess of the coach, who I think is good enough to deliver results.

Why should we be patient? We sacked a coach under contract and paid a shitload of money to do it. We brought in Pagan the messiah to fix things up on mega bucks contract. The feeling around the football dept is clearly that the list is up to scratch, hence the minimal activity this last couple weeks. Therefore with a messiah for coach and a great list we should be accepting no less than top 4. The noises should be coming very early. Although I reckon the usual suspects have already given the bloke a free pass and have set their targets on other areas. There is already a subtle attack happening from some of our more repetitive posting friends.

amazing this site.

most posters are supporters of the blues....well, you might figure.

.....and yet for all our combined negativity we keep coming back for more and more. it cant be that bad, unless of course this is all we have to occupy our time with.

malthouse hasn't even started yet.

who cares about the bloody list, how may coaches he has and that Pagan was our coach.

if we are looking for change we have it. one thing for certain is change....and most of us are complaining things are the same. he will ruffle feathers....already he has ruffled many on this post - and he is yet to start.

FORGET how many premierships he has won or not. forget about whether we should be top 4 or not. He has left every club that he has coached in a far better place then when he took over. You only have to look at the difference he made to the bulldogs as one good example.

Nice one London.

I have to say I like the list if most players have an injury free year,
I dare say we will improve with Malthouse as we did with Judd, and better.

The list isn't bad. It isn't great either. But that's ok, just give us three picks please.

Mick has guided worse lists deeper into seasons than this list has been. He's the one part of the club I have some confidence in. Other areas we are way behind and fading further.

If energy can be harnessed form our person, then we'd probably be able to muster up enough energy here to blow away Hiroshima again.

That's the negative energy of course. The positive energy may be able to blow out a candle................but just.

Just glad our coach's initials aren't MN. Neeld runs a further broom through the MFC.
He'd better hope he can coach the game with a valid gameplan vs his bunch of ordinary players that can't follow instructions.

Welcome to Carlton, Mick. I'm sure you'll be a little more respected than MN but also have a better way of presenting to and encouraging the players.

Just went to Mick's book signing on Lygon St. Thought about asking him about our ruck setup, in the end just opted to get really nervous & say "thank you" 2047 times
