Please. Jamison is twice the player of White at the moment. If he's fit, he's a certainty.

You really think White has been that bad? I thought he had been quite good since coming into the side .....

No. He's been OK but Jamo was in very good form before his hammy and his extra height adds a lot more flexibility to our structure.
Who do we have as a key back over 190cm at the moment?
If the opposition push an effective tall up forward, we'll be up shit creek.

I'm happy to keep White but he can push over to Duigans role and Duigs can go out. Jamo is still our most effective tall defender by a long way.

I'd have White over Duigan on the basis that if Jamo's hamstring goes again, White can play his role, Duigan cannot.

Having said that, thought Duigan was pretty good yesterday. Tuohy not so much...

Will be good to test ourselves against a quality opponent after yesterday's mismatch.

@anbns I know he will be picked. Ratts loves him but who goes out?

White has been great as has McInnes. Duigan maybe the one but IMO we lose some balance.

I have also been critical of Jamo last year and this year too, for playing dumb footy. There were times I suggested he be dropped and imo he was retained because of reputation and not form.

However, his last 2 games against the Doggies and Tigers it seems he got his pace back or his confidence or confidence in his body returned and he played as I expected our FB to play.

When fit, confident and in form, Jamo is our No 1 FB and maybe even the AFL's too.

Now, as for White, I thought he played OK, and a role for the team, but he wasn't great. He was pushed off the ball too easily, didn't position himself well most times, and lady luck was on his side for the ball to bounce out into space where he seemed to be (when outpositioned) and his opponent had the kicking yips.

McInnes, was good overall, but he wasn't the one touch player he was in his first game. Seemed to fumble a bit in the last 2 games, and I agree he needs more games into him to feel he belongs.

Duigan was strong yesterday. Good to see him return to form. He is not a KP and would not be taking Jamos spot.

IMO I have no problem for a fit Jamo to take either White's or McInnes spot in the team, but I'd like to see him rested for another week.

Don't know if Gold Coast have had many blow outs up at Metricon? Would have been nice to have been playing at the Gabba, we've hit the scoreboard easily there lately.
Wonder if we'll contemplate bringing in AJ for Ablett....?

Think it makes sense to rest some players and rotate a few to keep them in the mix given that we won't have a VFL side playing after this week.

Gibbs, McLean, Eddie, Kreuz, Jeff, Yaz, Scoots, Armfield could all do with a rest.

Ellard, AJ, O'Keeffe, Lucas all could use a run. Thornton I guess would be next in if we were to rest Kreuz I guess.

IMO you can't rest now. Two weeks to finals and two must win games. Stick with a winning side. The team must be rewarded. If Robbo out bring in ROK otherwise no changes.

Conceivably next weekend this could happen.

We beat GC, Fremantle lose to north, pies lose to WCE. We beat st kilda final round and play collingwood at the G in 1st week of the finals.

I'll be praying.

Easy to forget the last two weeks of last season when Kreuzer and Gibbs went down, and Hampson/Waite didn't come up as expected.

At least last year we had the Ants playing finals. No such luxury this year.

Going up for this one. Hoping for a good atmosphere and a good win.

If they're fit, play them. If they're not, don't. Simple really.

What isn't negotiable is attack on the ball and intensity. We need to win and win big. Finals, percentage, and in some cases careers, are all at stake in this game. I don't want a repeat of that bullshit GWS game.

We have to play the best team. IF North helps us by beating Freo it comes down to % and they have Melbourne in the last game. We will really need a 100 point win, maybe more. Melbourne will fold under pressure at Subi and completely smashed.

No resting - cost us against GWS - go for the jugular - good start and blow them apart early

Rest? We need every piece of percentage we can get. This year every % is everything. We need a massacre not just a win resting blokes.

At the moment we have an 18 point buffer on Fremantle.

Take out the concept of losing to St Kilda or Fremantle beating North, as we're cooked if either occur.

Worst case scenario - North only beat Fremantle by 2 goals, and we beat Gold Coast by 5 goals. We have a 10 goal buffer of percentage going into the last round.

Going into the last round, I'd like us to have 100 point buffer at least for the Fremantle game. Anything over the 7 goal mark should come close to this. Surely resting 2-3 players, we'd still account for the GC in this regard without too much of an issue. The GWS game was one of our worst for the year, and we still beat them by 7 goals with half our side out..

lol resting players. theres no point resting anyone if you cant get the percentage to play in the finals. we need to comprehensively flog Gold Coast to help our case. Ill be disasppointed if the forward line changes at all, since everyone thats left is basically untried (ie. Mitchell) and we did just comprehensively beat Essendon*. Only outs will be Jamo if hes fit - and even then he may be given another week - and possibly someone to cover mitch if hes sent up the river.

Fremantle for (1723) + 18 / Fremantle against (1572) * 100 = 110.75%

Carlton percentage = 110.52%

Anyone else think Tuohy's form has been ordinary the last few weeks and his spot is up for grabs? Potentially a ROK or a Russell to take his spot?
