We are one tall short in the forward line.
I must be the only person on the universe that believes you need atleast 2 KP forwards to win games of footy.

They are a very attacking side North they are also handball happy and get hurt going the other way one of the best offensive side but also one of the worst defensive
Need to harass and harass they will turn it over
Ratts has tried to make the blues miserly so it will be interesting

Generally that is preferable, but last week we beat the top side with none, so...

I'd love you to be right Mick, but just can't see it being anything but close. Kangas in great form, they love Etihad (we don't), and often give us trouble. I'll be very nervous if AJ starts on Thomas, esp inside 50 :yikes: . Reckon they should give him a lock down role on one of Norfs onballers.

Coss of the coin job for mine.

Be great to have two quality key forwards but we don't have any fit at the moment. Finally we are playing to the best players we have available instead of making players play positions they aren't used to.

When Waite, Rowe, Mitchell, Casboult are fit and ready hopefully they will be fighting over two spots.

Duigan at FF/CHF belies that comment.

Henderson was listed as 1-2 weeks early in the week so:
1. he has made a miraculous recovery since then or has been named subject to a fitness test
2. Kerna was fibbing on the Blue Print or
3. he isn't playing

I smell a late change. I suspect Thornton will come in for him. Hope not.

The last line re Waite et al, I look forward to.

I wonder if we aren't all perpetuating our own myth about Etihad.

I was there the night we pumelled the saints there..remember the 3 amigos game?
They weren't expecting it, and we were full of running and tackling.
It's the same ground that they found plenty of space on before.

It'd be great for the boys to rediscover how good they can be on that ground.

Good line up. Changes were all that could be expected.

My guess is we will line up like:

B: A.Joseph M.Jamison A.McInnes
HB: C.Yarran M.Watson Z.Touhy

C: M.Robinson B.McLean H.Scotland
Foll: M.Kreuzer C.Judd A.Carrazzo

HF: J.Garlett N.Duigan D.Armfield
F: E.Betts L.Henderson A.Walker

Int: B.Gibbs M.Murphy A.Collins (E.Curnow)

I believe AJ will get Thomas
Henderson will play key forward and relief ruck.
Duigan and Walker can rotate as lead up CHF. Also to create space behind for Betts and Garlett. Vital at Etihad.
Midfield is really good. Murphy to start on bench after initial sting out of game. Lots of depth and rotations which is key.
Curnow or McLean are the right players for sub role. I think Curnow will get it this week.
Personally Id put Touhy on Harvey and work him hard.
Armfield to play defensive HF role which he has been good at. May be Atley?
Lucas in if Murphy pulls up sore tomorrow.

Mr Psychologist, isn’t that a definition of madness – repeating a mistake and expecting a different result – like AJ on Thomas?

Interesting that Murphy and Henderson have both been assessed as fit enough to go. As the KAOS agent said to Maxwell Smart, 'I find that difficult to believe.' I no longer trust my judgement on much at all really, so hopefully my concern is unfounded

Either way hope we smash North even though it is at that hole Etihad which I detest and wont pay to visit again (irrational as that may seem to some). North have been playing finals level footy most of the time in recent weeks so to beat them by a point will be good. Go Blues

Scrap of a game, low scoring and Norf to play very in close tight footy, they know if the ball gets out we will run them over.

I doubt Hendo will play.

There's no way Hendo will play. Didn't look right in training drills that were very run-of-the-mill. If Murphy was 85%, he was 75%.

Don't win big finals though. Ask the Bulldogs.

On BTG last night Maher reckons Murph will be late scratch.

That would probably mean Ellard, although I think I prefer lucas to run in simpson's spot and through Curnow in the middle.
