I heard Ratts bent him over a pinball machine, and laughed menacingly whilst he deprived him of his dignity. Then he went to an all you can eat restaurant, and ate all the food, and they had to close the restaurant, then went home where he slept in an oxygen tent, which he believes gives him secret sexual powers....

This club is a joke right now.

I assume Barrett contacted someone at the club re: the Hyde resignation. Ended up being given something about Cordy instead, which had otherwise seen no print/air time to date.

Either its the return of the sneaky leakers who just want to be in the spotlight, or someone is pushing Ratts out the door.

Or people are losing credibilty and are sick of being blamed..........

One thing is apparent about some of our main men.. tey dont like to accept responsibility when things are going belly up

Makes sense..

Only have to look at how many people are coming out of the woodwork on here with "inside mail" that hasn't been seen since the demise of Pagan.

The lifeboats are being manned....

All good if the club gets a REAL cleanout.

Bringing in Malthouse has got "Dennis Pagan" written all over it. I hope the club has learnt.

And to those throwing up stats of 5 GF in 10 years get your facts right. One of them was a replay. Ever consider that even Collingwood saw the writing on the wall (ie spent force) for Malthouse and wanted him out at the end of his last two years - maybe, just maybe Brad Scott, Nathan Buckley et al had something to do behind the scenes with their GF appearances in those two years. Have a listen to the dribble Malthouse speaks on radio. Its embarrassing.

If Rats has to go, and is not the best man for the job, then so be it. But bringing in Malthouse will be a massive (and expensive) mistake.

This club is a disgrace right now..

First we had sweeping repeated public comments from Ratts and Sticks about being Top 4 material, and that opened us to mass public ridicule when this started faltering.
Then we had the disasterous pre season campaign
Then injuries exposed our lack of depth
Then our VFL coach basically wallks out
Now this fallout...

Lose badly the next two weeks and things will get much much worse

How exactly is there anything wrong with publicly stating our ambitions?
Then we had the disasterous pre season campaign
What did the pre-season campaign have anything to do with our rolling injuries?
Then injuries exposed our lack of depth
And what injuries? There isn't another team that wouldn't have been flattened for the depth of injuries. we have had 15 players out only four weeks ago.
Then our VFL coach basically wallks out
Big deal on face value, although there is clearly some meat on the bone here.
Now this fallout...
We're ripe for the picking and the vultures are out. Hardly unexpected.
Funny that if we had have won just one of the past two games that we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Lose badly the next two weeks and things will get much much worse

Anyway, if there are problems internally they best get sorted out and quickly, but I won't be taking every journo's findings as gospel.

I've heard that Cordy is pretty ace.

Cordy brawls with everybody at the club.

First it was Shane O'Sullivan .. then it was Ben Baressi .. then it was Tim Smith .. then it was Luke Webster .. and now it's Brett Ratten.

He has pretty much also ensured long time Carlton staff within the footy department have been treated like shit when they were told they were unwanted....

This is the primary reason why I dislike Cordy.

The more things change the more they stay the same. Rewind back to 07 and you could almost copy and paste some of the 'Sack pagan' posts, replace Pagan with Ratten and carry on, nobody would notice. Back then they axed Pagan and quickly installed Ratts. If they axe Ratts and quickly install MM/Roos/whoever will we be back posting the same in 2015?

I remember reading somewhere that the Man Utd board came very close to sacking Alex Ferguson when Man Utd were almost relegated 2-3 years into his tenure at the club. Lucky they held their nerve!

I dont know what is going on but panicked lurches from one coach to the next wont win us a premiership, just ask Richmond (who coincidentally seem to be going forward under a young coach)

Where do all of these High Performance Manager types come from? Is there a TAFE somewhere running a diploma of high performance management? Are these guys personal trainers on steroids? What is the career path to become a High Performance Manager? There seems to be some kind of mystic process shrouded in the fog of an ancient ritual that sees some super fit dude somehow manage a transformation from the guy at the gym that runs the Spin classes into an extreme trainer. I know there are courses in human movement/performance etc at Uni, are these guys with impeccable credentials in academia that have also trained up olympians etc and somehow catch the eye of an AFL club?

Yes.

Highly qualified, hard working and professional.

But they do have to work within the clubs/coaches goals I would think.

I've been critical of the conditioning of the players as they appear to me to be on the slim side.

I would think the conditioning goals and outcomes are agreed to by the head coach before the season starts.
