How is the year shot at 9th with 10 weeks to go?

Yeah it probably is, but happy to wait till its well and truly over (dropping one of the Dogs/Roos games probably does it for me)...no point signing the death warrant just yet.

The scenario that gets me here - lets say we play like shit for the next 10 weeks, and eek into 8th spot purely through St Kilda and Richmond bottling it - first week we come out and do enough to get by Essendon*, then second week play our best football all year and beat an interstate team in a final finally...(Hawthorn 2001 almost) only to get done in the prelim by a far better side.

Played like shit all year, but still made the achievement of being a top four side via a Bradbury finish.

Where does Ratts stand from there?

he'll be fine cos we'll get Bomber or Michael in as overseer.

Brock's out this week.

Heard Ratten explaining the reason we are struggling was the injuries to our key forwards! These being Jarrod Waite? FFS.

was the port game for me rhino.
what if we lost to the hawks, pies then north?
i think ratten can coach, but my issue is, players like russell, joseph, bower etc have not taken the next step,
and continue to get games.
i think if we miss the finals ratten is gone.
imo if we lose the next three,[we are gone] players like kerr, o'keffe, dale, mccarthy, mcInnes should be played, just to see where we stand with them.
hard calls should be made at seasons end, injuries can only be used so many times, every team has them. some are worst than others.

Yes, and he had to stop himself from directing sarcasm at Jezza. His position is shaky enough without giving our God a bake.

No excuses this week, we're missing two players Murphy and Laidler from the injury list who would make a difference. or be available when we needed him in finals.

I like Brock on twitter, has a crack, says what he thinks, refreshing. We should invite him onto TC, that would be entertaining

So why is he out? Are we playing a fast and furious midfield in the Dawks?

Is he injured?

I don't think it's confirmed be is out but Ratts gave Curnow a big pump at today's presser.

Makes sense as I dont remember ed being on the ground in the last qtr of the ressies and thought he might be getting a recall. Was one of the few that had a decent game.
