You would probably rave about Ellard if he was playing his game in a Collingwood jumper.

I guess Robinson, Yarran, Henderson, Gibbs, Murphy, Jamison, Garlett and Kreuzer haven't played like that in their fourth seasons.

Pies can put good ordinary players into their structure and get them to play their roles. They even did it with Anthony who kicked fifty goals before going backwards. This doesn't make them A graders like some believe. Best example is Dawes who looks like he's going down the same road as Anthony.

Yes, the abovementioned Carlton players have played well [u]at times[u] (key word) in their fourth years. But you can't disagree that the form/output they have shown at that stage of development and indeed beyond their fourth years is fickle. Great one week, missing the next. Not much predictability, or method in the way they are played. More of a horses for courses approach with us. Filling holes etc..

Sorry Kouta, but you've completely missed the point. Point is these collingwood guys don't have to be A graders because their system/machine is A Grade. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts when it comes to these collingwood kids.

Carlton did exactly the same thing at the Freo vs Richmond game. Lots of clubs are doing it.

Not innovative at all in relation to Collingwood, its just that you saw them doing it

All clubs are doing this.

I've asked you 3 times for a source for this statement. If I didn't know you better I would assume you made it up. Unless you know this for a fact, I seriously doubt it's true.

Are you asking me?

No other options really. Worth a try.

Our recruiting isnt that bad. Actually it is quite good. Our player development is woeful.

Um... no, our development may be worse but I wouldn't call our recruitment 'quite good'. For a start, how can we tell if we can't develop them? I have a tendency to think that people just take this line because you can't take recruiting decisions back once they are made but you can change your coaches, fitness staff, etc.

I'm not into pointing the finger at individuals but I am into admitting we are getting our strategies wrong and trying to rectify them.

I'm all for playing kids but it can't be all at once and it needs to be beneficial to player as well.

ROK is good enough but needs game time first.

Luke has played bugger all footy for years. If he can get 6-8 strong games under his belt in a row then maybe.

Dale - yes.

Buckley - yes.

McCarthy and McInnes - yes

Important to keep greeting games into Watson, Lucas, Bootsma as well.
