There are some nice stories about Andrew's new family life with the triplets as the centre spread in today's paper.

Not being "Anti-Essendon at all times", but I'm really surprised no communication has come from Lonergan regarding this injury.

Most football observers would see the incident as an unfortunate accident. However, if I had injured another player to put him out for half a season, then to learn he is struggling at home with new-born triplets - I reckon I would have jumped on the phone or sent him a bottle of scotch or something!

Football manager to football manager seems a little lame.

Maybe if Lonergan had lifted a finger, it might have presented both clubs with a media opportunity and de-fused the whole Twitter issue too.

Just sayin'...

It would be a bit hypocritical to apologise.

He tackled to hurt him, and he hurt him. It's a part of football, but it was hardly an accident like falling across someone's leg and busting their knee.

What's he going to say? 'Sorry mate, I only wanted to put you out for the game, not half a season.'

Lonergan, like the entire clubful of red & black cauliflower, can GAGF.

I agree. Which makes the apology from their Footy Manager either hypocritical or completely meaningless. You can bet that the club wanted to make a statement and 'hurt' the opposition. And even moreso against our number one tagger.

Agree with you both.

I reckon Lonergan will make some sort of apology in the build up to the next time we meet them, just to make them out to be caring human beings and us as being unreasonable. We'll come out to make a physical statement and get bent over by the maggots AGAIN!

These guy's use the media like nobody else. Everything that eminates from them or their stooges Lloyd and BT is designed to make a difference on the field.

It's a cynical exercise that everyone should be able to see through and it shouldn't work, but if you ask me it does.

Good observation. Very very much so this year. They have done it well.

:banghead:

Here's the rest of the interview with the context that isn't meant to troll Essendon* flogs into responding.

Carlton midfielder Andrew Carrazzo a Blue boy in the pink

To apologise after making those comments on Twitter would be completely pointless. Those comments made it clear it wasn't accidental IMO.

Lonergan nor Essendon* have nothing to apologise for - it's break-neck speed football and it happens. Jonathon Brown will be going bananas.

A decent bloke would pick up the phone to a young father of triplets, after accidently or otherwise, breaking his shoulder blade. The worst shoulder blade break recorded in footy history apparently.
Don't ya think Mr.Scarponi?
It's just manners.

Carrazzo can always play another sport if he doesnt want to get hurt you know. As much as I love the bloke - -- I see no malice just clumsiness it was unfortunate it happened to one of our best players...thats football.

 He just said he was disappointed that he got hurt and is missing 8 weeks of football. What the hell do you expect? Him saying it;s wonderful that I got injured?
