He will be out for about 3 weeks then? He recovered quite quickly from his first op after the NAB cup in early March and played Rd 1 in late March.

*cue cynics whinging about club medicos being inept*

Spoke to soon - confirmed as 6-8 weeks. :yikes:

He didn't have surgery last time, did he?

This is correctively surgery after repeated patella dislocations, which suggests there is some ligament damage or something else in the way of normal joint function that's pushing the patella out.

Well I'd be hoping it was a clean-up op rather than repairing any ligament damage or we're absolute morons from a medical perspective.

Did the patella go again in this last incident?

There's not too many other injuries to the knee that would see him resume playing on the field with as little restriction as he showed. A partial meniscus tear would have had him looking like he was running in mud.

Here we go:

Jeremy Laidler joins Carrazzo on the sidelines
Quote:
This is the second occasion Laidler has injured his left knee in 2012. In round two of the NAB Cup he dislocated his kneecap in the match against Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium. This injury required arthroscopic surgery to flush out the knee and he returned for Carlton’s opening match of the season against Richmond at the MCG.

So they did a clean up to clear up some sort of obstruction or inflammation and put him back on the park, and now it's shown to be a bit of wear and tear that didn't appear initially (or cause concern).

Any discussion on what sort of damage Laidler might have done playing out the game last Sat?

Probably not much buzz, it's really not worth any grief over. Same with Yarran.

That filthy dog lonergan meant it, wanted to injure a player because he is a filthy cauliflower and deserves all the tweets he gets. After he had dumped Andy to the ground, he got up and looked straight away at what damage he had caused and admired his own work. Filthy @#$%&! DOG!!!

Only one I've seen.
I don't twitter, and if I did I wouldn't follow any Essendon* players.

Some of the tweets he got are subject to a police investigation, so I would suggest that they perhaps were not deserved as he did not kill a man, merely was vindictive in his actions.

He deserved to be shouted down, not threatened to be beaten to death (I'm purely assuming here, but I can't imagine he'd report people saying he deserved a punch in the face).

IMO, he deserves what Carrots got. An injury serious enough to sideline him for at least 2 months.
I know 2 wrongs don't make a right, but to be perfectly honest I would love to see that weak dog go down with a gary rohan injury.

Is the absence of any mention of Sam Rowe another ommision on our 'supposed' injury list. Or are there other problems going on with him?
