Good to see some posters have returned. Good thing it will only happen 7-8 times this season.

Every gameplan breaks down when you go in without intensity, don't care how good you are.

7-8 times means no top 4 finish....

No top 4 finish means were same as last year

Not good enough....

I actually didnt believe this game was the main test.
I truly believed we would spank them.
I thought next week would be our first true test over in WA .. against a Ross Lyon uber flood.

Essendon* ditn use the uber flood and we had no answers.

7-8 times may have us missing out on top 4....

The problems
poor bottom 5 to 6 players
no power forward
some soft efforts from so called star players
poor selections from our MC

you can only use the game plan argument for so long

If Waite had of kicked straight today we would be saying he is the forward we have been missing

He was brilliant apart from his kicking he was probably the only player he had a real dip and beat his opponents

But poor kicking is poor football

That includes a finals loss and I'm only expecting 15 wins.

When youre a forward and your main job is to kick goals and you dont... its not brilliant.

Its like saying an aeroplane pilot was brilliant nevermind he didnt land the plane.. but did you see him tap dance???

Bottom 18 today. Team game, senior players set the tone or lack of.

Power forward? Just shit delivery and Waite having a shocker in front of goal.

Lets hope not....I actually was more concerned about this game than next week....the underdog in these games almost always gets up....but shit we didn't do ourselves any favours tactically....especially since these guys seem to be so predictable in what they will dish up....no Hurley in the second half, a 40 year old grandpa holding their defence together and plodders in the middle....it's mystfying.... :|

I actually expected to win this week and lose last week. So I'm exactly where I would have been anyway. At worst we'll be 4-2 after a quarter of the season.

Relaxed.

Mclean
Curnow
Bower
Hampson
Duigan

needed to step up They didnt .
Waite has always been a dodgy set shot Didnt deserve a 3 year deal. And he isnt a power forward.
Neither is Walker.
In pressure games you need one big mother up there.
We have been unlucky with Casboult and Mitchell geting injured
But if rely on midgets to kick us a winning score or Waite for that matter week in week out it wont happen.

Definitely missed a proper small defender today - AJ and/or Armfield.

I hope that hit on Carrazzo is scrutinised because he had no intention other than to injure him, I thought it was really filthy.

Too good the Dons, credit to them, good game plan and well executed. Harder at it than us. Our composure going forward in the 3rd was really bad, we had enough of it in that quarter to get back in the game. We were really panicked going inside 50....

A bit of a sobering loss....

The press too shallow and getting caught on the fast break time and time again...with no real sweeper.. wow!!..
Brock McLean the chosen impact player off the bench... wow!!!(Must have been really confident for this one)

just some of the weirdarama that was up on display today

Synbad and Keogh turning up after a loss......WOW!!!!

Only joking I expected you to turn up, tell us boys "what have been upto over the last few weeks?"

Have been on here. Giving credit where credits due.
Fact is we were pantsed today and had McLean as the sub. Ratten has to admit he !@#$%& up on this one and move on from Brock. Stanton wouldnt have got 36 touches if Joseph had played.

You wanted a double midfield tag??

Look Keogh it wasn't a great performance but your player assessments are all off IMO. Bower & Brock should not be getting the treatment they are at the moment from some.

Job Watson was fantastic.
He cleared everything and Stanton ran around and did what he liked.
Watson you couldnt counter.
Stanton you could.

These two guys in particular set that loss up for us
