Some of, if not the very best footy the Club has produced in a decade, regardless of the opponent. Big stage, everything to gain, all eyes on us and we made a very big statement. Tackling intensity, pressure efforts and one percenters right to the final siren, smooth transitions, no nonsense professional footy delivered with frightening precision. The Filth never had an answer and never looked capable of it.

Wednesday last week Collingwood held an exclusive board room lunch for select Collingwood supporting corporare executives. Nick Maxwell & Harry O'Brien attended. Rules of the lunch were whatever was said in the room was to stay in the room - those in attendance were influential Collingwood people.

Amongst a range of topics discussed, the players were asked which team in top 8 they feared the most coming into the finals. Both Maxwell & O'Brien responded that Hawthorn were the greatest threat. They were asked for their views on Carlton & each said that the Blues were no threat as there were plenty of Blues players who would go missing in the finals.
